MissScarlett: <For some technical reasons, the simuls have begun an hour earlier than scheduled, and some of the children have been late. When Katya Goltseva arrived, there were already no seats in the Kramnik's simul, so that she could play only against Tomashevsky. The girl burst into tears: she had already prepared to play against Kramnik... To some extent, her tears could be understood, as she had already drew Kasparov, and maybe Tomashevsky isn't already the match for her!

Despite this upset, Goltseva managed to draw Tomashevsky as well. In fact, she became the only one in the whole simul.>

Nov-17-14  Jimmy W: Thank you for sharing that, I was wondering how the seating was determined for them. Well done Katya, another game to be proud of.
Mar-25-19  sonia91: This girl, who managed to draw with Kasparov in a simul at 9 (http://chess-news.ru/en/node/7526), made a quite rating jump in the March 2019 list: +167.60, thanks to a 8/9 score at the Moscow Open women's open event, where she tied for first with Anastasia Bodnaruk and finished 2nd on tiebreak: http://chess-results.com/tnr411384....

She is now rated 2303 and therefore gained also the FM title. She already held the WFM title since 2012.
