M Psaila: A legend in Maltese chess circles, having won the championship several times and also was President of the Malta Chess Federation. He remianed a strong player till the end. Not one to study much theory but he had a tactical flair and woe betide you if you happen to be on the wrong end of one of his combinations. RIP
