Mikhail Semyonovich Zeitlin (Michael Zeitlein) was awarded the IM title in 1977 and the GM title in 1987. He was Moscow Champion in 1976 (jointly) and 1977 and in tournaments had 1st= placings in Naleczow 1979 and Pernik 1981.

He is also a Correspondence Grandmaster (1990).
