alexmagnus: Soviet Master of Sports with such a scarce bio? Hm.

Russian Wikipedia has not much more information though. Born in 1934, died in 2005, got the Soviet Master of Sports title in 1961. Thermal engineer. Played for Spartak Kiev. Will search other sites in hope to find more.
