ALEXEI BEZGODOV (born Jun-30-1969) Russia [what is this?] Grandmaster (1999). Russian champion of 1993 with Eldar Mukhametov at Tjumen94 [rusbase-1] . Placed 2nd in Chigorin Memorial 1995. Shared winner in the Ukrainian Ch 1999. Russian vice champion 1999 (by being knocked out 2-0 by GM Konstantin Sakaev in the final). He qualified to play in the World Cup (2011) as a nominee of the Organising Committee, and faced Nikita Vitiugov in the first round. He drew both games of the classical game mini-match and in the tiebreaker he also drew the first two games of the rapid (25 minute) game tiebreaker.
