Into the old password field I can write anything (I am dead certain that I am actually typing in the correct one), it does not let me to change it. If necessary, I can inspect the underlying codebase, totally free of charge, and I can even help implementing a hash-based password scheme instead of the current <plaintext> based one, completely free of charge once again. |

We'd like to begin our "User Authentication" upgrade soon, after Gameloader update and Live events.
We're thinking of taking the steps to go "serverless"( https://aws.amazon.com/serverless/ ). If we decide to go the serverless route we will be utilizing Cognito ( https://aws.amazon.com/cognito/ ). You can read about the process at https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/mobile... .
I'll see if I can fix the current "password updater" before our migration.

Of course it would be oh-so-slightly-interesting to hear the back story of the contact, and what, if any, verification measures were taken before publication. There's a lesson in vulnerability here, but I'm still mulling how to properly frame it in the larger context, constructively (if possible). |
