<Vinny Barbarino> Thanks for explaining the real meaning of one of my favorite <Stones> songs- Who knew?

Does this one here from <Exile> have a similar back story? Is it about one of Mick's girlfriends?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-a...

I think the piano in particular on this track is a stroke of genius. I think <Exile> is their masterpiece.

  jessicafischerqueen:

Howay <Hozza>, I think Spurs have a chance to win the league next year- they didn't fall too short last season even.

But three things have to change for that to happen, in my opinion.

1. Better scouting. Spending all that money on <Janssen> and especially on <Sissoko> was nothing short of a disaster. Neither can play in the EPL, and Tottenham can't afford to wait to see if they can do so "later." I think <Janssen> might improve his ability to compete in the toughest club league in the world, but I think <Sissoko> should take up another sport, such as rhythmic gymnastics.

2. Spurs have to show they can win without <Harry Kane>. Partly because of the physical intensity of his style, you have to assume he's going to be injured at least twice, or for a significant stretch of any given season. This front looks a little brighter at the moment, since Spurs have looked good in winning the last two without <Hazza>, but it has to continue- they have to prove they can do it without him.

3. The Gaffer has to solve the problem of <Europe>. Spurs played like sick nuns against <Monaco> and I don't think their appalling performance in the UEFA Champions League did anything to help matters on the home front. This goes for other English clubs too, of course, it's not just a Spurs problem.

What is Man City's excuse? Arsenal's? Lestah made it into the round of 8 but there's no way they will get past a Barcelona or Bayern.

Anyways, the last stretch of the EPL season will reveal just how much jam Spurs have- can they keep their current form without <Kane>, and can they continue to achieve a more even distribution of goal scorers even with <Kane> in the lineup. I think the main reason Spurs started to turn around from their last slump was the fact that <Delli "Bowling" Alley> and <Christian Erikkssenn> found their scoring form at the right time, and for longer than a few games.

At any rate, I can hardly complain about Spurs overall this season.

Mar-29-17  Travis Bickle: Hiya Teacher! ; P

Jess, like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones have some good songs I'd be hard pressed to choose 1.. Here's 1 I'm in the mood for now...

I dig the lyrics as in, "Hey, what's the matter man? We're gonna come around at twelve
With some Puerto Rican girls that are just dyin' to meet you We're gonna bring a case of wine
Hey, let's go mess and fool around
You know, like we used to"!

& "I've been walking central park
Singing after dark
People think I'm crazy
I've been stumbling on my feet
Shuffling through the street
Ask me people, what's the matter with you boy?

Sometimes I want to say to myself
Sometimes I say

Oooh oooh oooh oooh I won't miss you child"!

Mar-29-17  Travis Bickle: Ms. Jessaroonie, this Stones track would make my top 5.

<Missing Tbon> Yes I forgot about that record completely. "Miss You" was one of the radio singles and the Stones explored some funk n' soul and it is indeed soulful, like just about everything they did.

Good call, and also on "Beast of Burden" which was another big radio hit if I'm not mistaken.

Here is "Brown Sugar" mixed with some unknown origin video from the 1970 tour, which might have been one of the greatest in history. This was the tour that ended in Altamont. The movie about Altamont shows lots of footage from the tour before the actual concert at Altamont- it's a great movie <btone>.

OhioChessFan: My ranking of the best Stones songs:

1. Tumbling Dice
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6U8...

The drum roll at the end is a musical orgasm, a transcendent moment in rock and roll. Buildup, doesn't drum roll, buildup, doesn't, buildup, doesn't, buildup, doesn't, buildup, doesn't, and finally, a crashing splashing drumroll, an aural wave burying you and bringing you back up, gasping for breath, an unbelievable release of tension.

2. Wild Horses
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yE2...

Painful longings, a ballad just as strong as any of their rockers.

3. Satisfaction
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrI...

The second best guitar riff ever, behind Johnny B Goode, just a real rock and roll rave up.

4. Mixed Emotions
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImN...

What do you do when you don't know what to do when questioning the essential things of life? Simple answer: Let's go dancin', let's rock and roll.

Miss You
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuR...

I will never forget a local newspaper review of the album and this song in particular. "Listen to his voice. Do you think he misses her or what?"

I'll stop at 5 and feel bad not to rate Ruby Tuesday and It's All Over Now and It's Only Rock and Roll and Honky Tonk Women and......

I believe that's incorrect. "Brown Sugar" came out in 1971 and the tour that ended at Altamont was in 1969. I saw them on that tour and they didn't play "Brown Sugar."

Not saying it's the greatest, they're so many songs, but my favorite is "Gimme Shelter." Another favorite is "Slave," and "Mixed Emotions" is a great one from the later years.

This song expresses the bitter sweetness of "independent" living.

"Everything is fine. Just don't want to be all by myself"

The 21 year old Bonnie Raitt lays down some fine guitar riffs. The 60's flute break is a bit over the top but has retro value.

<Big>

It took me two (2) days of research to parse the meaning of your brace of posts here:

<crawfb5: Are you talking about Klingon chess again? If we're going to have a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown... <Gimme Shelter>>

Mar-31-17
crawfb5: **Carne Assada, Portugal**>

Having cracked the code, I can say in good conscience that your posts are equal, and probably superior, to the Holiday Puzzle Clue game in both complexity and erudition, not to mention scatology.

At first, I was hampered by my usual habit of not really understanding the brace of posts I myself made that occasioned your response:

<Mar-31-17
jessicafischerqueen:

*Loose pieces drop off*
Doesn't really need any changes- could be referring to someone pinching a loaf!

Mar-31-17
jessicafischerqueen:
*Altamont Speedway, outside of San Francisco*>

After some digging, however, your subtle construction unfolded like the most exquisite Japanese Orgasmi Crane.

Your posts perfectly answer mine, and you stay right on the topic- brown oblong objects that inhabit the nether regions of men, and I'm not talking about the Nederlands.

<HOW TO BE UNDERSTAND BIG CRAWDADDY POSTS>

First, and I can't resist- for any curious onlookers, please follow these instructions.

1. Google "Carne Assada, Portugal" https://www.google.com/?hl=en&gws_r...

2. Find the Wikipedia link for this search term the third from the top of the list, but DON'T CLICK ON IT YET. Look at the listing and choose "translate this page".

3. When your browser takes you to the webpage, don't look at the title- look directly at the photo to the right of the screen, and especially the caption under the photo. HAHAHAHAHA

#########################

Second, carefully investigate this excellent website on <Klingon Chess>: http://www.chessvariants.com/shape....

Warning to puzzle solvers! I read almost every word of this website, not knowing what the hell it had to do with my original posts to <Big>, until I remembered Poe's "The Purloined Letter." That is your clue on how to get the information from this page that will crack <Big's> code.

############################

Third, follow the link <Big> provided in his post here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown...

It looks like one of those horrifyingly abstruse Wikipedia edit pages, and it is, but that's not the genius of the link: Hint- pay close attention to the SYNTAX for this clue.

#######################

Fourth, enjoy, and closely investigate, this fine trailer to the comedy film "Brown Willy," which is about a small mountain that may, or may not, really be called "Brown Willy": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yc2...

######################

Fifth, delve "deeper," if you catch my drift, into the mystery of the "Brown Willy" here: <"Beware the Pembrokeshire Dangler .... or the Brown Willy effect! I did a double-take when the slightly effeminate BBC Wales weather man mentioned the 'Pembrokeshire Dangler'. But hello boys.

Can often be followed by the Brown Willy Effect. Ooh Mr Simpson!!>

http://forums.contractoruk.com/gene...

#########################

Finally, you must read the first three paragraphs of this Wiki article on Altamont: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altam...

#####################

You now have sufficient clues to understand, perfectly, what <Big> means by this sentence- and it is a bona fide sentence:

<crawfb5: Are you talking about Klingon chess again? If we're going to have a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown... <Gimme Shelter>>

Whoever first cracks the "Big code" and can explain

1. Exactly what <Big> is talking about in his sentence: <crawfb5: Are you talking about Klingon chess again? If we're going to have a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown... <Gimme Shelter>>

2. And can explain exactly why <Big's> sentence is a perfectly logical reply to my original brace of posts:

<Mar-31-17
jessicafischerqueen

*Loose pieces drop off*

Doesn't really need any changes- could be referring to someone pinching a loaf!

Mar-31-17
jessicafischerqueen:

...Will win a set of "theme Burritos", which I will deliver by mail.

The theme of the Burrito set will conform to the theme of <Big's> post.
