| Oct-29-12 | | waustad: Oh. I thought that they cut the field in half and did usual Swiss pairings on the top half and the bottom half separately. That way the top player is playing somebody from the 75 percentile and the bottom player is playing somebody from the 25 percentile. |

| Nov-03-12 | | waustad: One player who has had an interesting tournament is WIM Kateryna Dolzhykova, who was playing way above her rating at +3 until she met Eljanov in the 6th round. This started a string of 3 losses. In any case, she had a win and two draws against GMs and a win against an IM that she can look back on with pride. |
