Jun-26-15 | | Olavi: In the bio, <Later that year, FIDE, in a controversial decision, granted 100 rating points to every female player except Zsuzsa.> is not correct. There were others, Cramling, Fischdick (I think) and a third one. They received 25-75 points, if memory serves me right. Besides, it's controversial whether the decision was controversial. |

Jan-07-16 | | cro777: Susan Polgar's coaching philosophy:
"Unlike some 'celebrity coaches' who go through the motion for the media or simply by lending their names, I actually spend a lot of time to dissect the strengths and weaknesses of each of my students. Then we work together to fix each weakness and enhancing their natural strengths." http://www.chessdom.com/interview-w... |

Apr-19-16 | | Fluffy: Happy Birthday to you, Zsuzsa. We have nearly the same birthdays although the same cannot be said for our chess playing abilities Heh |

Aug-28-16 | | Virgil A: Hopefully GM Susan Polgar will lend her interviews/commentaries at the Baku Olympiad. |

Feb-19-17 | | bengalcat47: Zsuzsu is very pretty! |

 | | Dionysius1: I wouldn't say so, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that. Without doubt though she has been one heck of a chess player. |

 | | Joshka: <Susan Polgar> Hi Susan, thanks for speaking out against that horrible/offensive logo FIDE put out for their World Chess Championship plug. It's laughable, and disgusting indeed. Then again, why would I expect anything classy from the world chess organization. Thanks again, and what's the best way to protest for us amateur chess fans? |

|
Dec-21-17 | | Chess Is More: I think the design was great. Nothing wrong about being a little provocative, is it? It's only a logo. An intriguing combination of chess and kama sutra-inspired physical intimacy. Fresh and exciting, if you ask me. |

If you walk through Trafalgar Square or Hyde Park on the weekend couldn't you find 50 chessplayers? Aren't there stone chess tables and people setting up roll out latex boards on any surface, in the larger London Parks, as it is in NYC? |

Really? If you walk through Trafalgar Square or Hyde Park on the weekend couldn't you find 50 chessplayers? Aren't there stone chess tables and people setting up roll out latex boards on any surface, in the larger London Parks, as it is in NYC?> The only time I've seen people playing chess outdoors in London was at the old club on Clapham Common. I used to play there with Andrew Horton-Kitchlew but it shut many years ago. I have never seen anyone playing chess in Trafalgar Square or any of the large parks in London, although it may be happening somewhere. The reason I mentioned that, was that the burghers of Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, had corralled 326 chess players to take on Ms Polgar in a simultaneous display. I was wondering how good these players were. |

 | | Joshka: <Chess Is More> <provocative> Why is it needed?? Guess todays players are so boring and lack any marketing skills that they decided to mix chess with porn?? The logo is disgusting and they should be ashamed for putting it out there. Suppose they had extra funds to hire some artist to draw up that horrible image seeing that they never put any substantial money into the prize fund!! |

It's out near the place they celebrate as the residence of Sherlock Holmes. I went there once and they have a great selection of books, DVDs and chess sets. Online presence, too, I think. Surely there's more than 50 people who shop there. |

 | | HeMateMe: 221 Baker Street has a chess shoppe? I bet you can find 'elementary' mates there... |

Dec-29-17 | | PhilFeeley: No. The chess shop is a few blocks away.
It's 221b, and curiously, it's incorrect according to the addresses around it. |
