< from chessgames ; ZAW WIN LAY
(born Oct-22-1963, died Oct-03-2014, 50 years old) Myanmar
Zaw Win Lay was the first Myanmar International Master and Grandmaster. He died in Mandalay, Myanmar leaving behind two daughters. He was a four-times Myanmar National Champion.>
|May-06-18|| ||GrahamClayton: Myanmar champion in 2000, 2004, 2006, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017.|
Interesting to note that like all of the Myanmar players in the database, all of his games are from overseas tournaments, and none from tournaments within Myanmar.
|May-06-18|| ||perfidious: <Graham>, Yangon is the capital of Myanmar.|
|May-06-18|| ||Granny O Doul: It's beside the point, I know, but Naypyidaw has been the capital of Myanmar for a while now.|
|May-06-18|| ||perfidious: A move obviously made to annoy me. (laughs)|
