Apr-12-17  TheFocus: I was wondering if the idea has ever been considered on adding "how to pronounce this players name" in their bios?

Seems like it would help a lot of members.

Apr-12-17  TheFocus: My last post was on the wrong forum.

Apologies.

Thanks <WinKing>! :)

Apr-15-17  WinKing: Hey, good luck <Annie K.>! :)
Apr-15-17  technical draw: Hey, I'm tied for first! I think I'll just wait until everyone starts losing and then make bets. Great strategy, don't steal it.

Annie K.: <WinKing> pssst... if you would like the program to create the three betting lines automatically, you need to leave a space after the colon. ;)

For example, "Round 7:Svidler-Kramnik" should be "Round 7: Svidler-Kramnik".

Apr-16-17  WinKing: Oooh...thanks <Annie K.> I forgot about that. Just like I forgot about how to put in Vachier-Lagrave's name properly. Gotta shake the rust off. ;)

Chessgames Bookie: The GRENKE Chess Classic is a slugfest!
8 decisive games out of 12 in the first three rounds. And guess what? Yifan Hou leads a field(2.5/3) that include Carlsen, Caruana & Vachier-Lagrave! She already beat Caruana & drew with Carlsen. Cats are chasing dogs, lambs are eating wolves...well you get the picture. Place your bets for a sure to be exciting 4th round. And our <Annie K.> hit a nice Pick Three to grab top spot on the Leaderboard. Way to go <Annie K.>! Ladies night out! ;)

Chessgames Bookie: Don't forget that tomorrow, Tues. 4/18, is a rest day for the GRENKE players. Play resumes on Wed. 4/19. Plenty of time to plan your strategy.

Apr-22-17  gauer: I just thought I'd say that I do like the new(er) views on the live game broadcast page of the stockfish analysis link (it also displays well in a mobile window) and also the latter search "Magnus Carlsen vs Maxime Vachier-Lagrave" link to the 2 players. For an open wager page (ie GRENKE Chess Classic 2017 Round 7: Hou - Naiditsch ), is it possible to include the latter by default for pairs of popular players?!

So what you would like is to have an E-Z Search(eg. player x vs. player y) installed in the OPEN EVENTS so comparisons can be made to help determine which pick would be best. Do I have it right?

<I just thought I'd say that I do like the new(er) views on the live game broadcast page of the stockfish analysis link (it also displays well in a mobile window)>

Thanks. We plan on making it far more powerful very soon.

<and also the latter search "Magnus Carlsen vs Maxime Vachier-Lagrave" link to the 2 players. For an open wager page (ie GRENKE Chess Classic 2017 Round 7: Hou - Naiditsch ), is it possible to include the latter by default for pairs of popular players?!>

If I understand correctly, you propose that we could go to the wagering page and automatically a link would appear that shows the historical matchup. That would save you the trouble from going to the homepage and typing in the names.

I suppose we could do that, but don't be surprised if it gives you an error <No such player "Mammadyarov"> ;-)

Apr-23-17  WinKing: <chessgames: If I understand correctly, you propose that we could go to the wagering page and automatically a link would appear that shows the historical matchup. That would save you the trouble from going to the homepage and typing in the names.>

That would be a nice feature if it can be implemented.

Apr-23-17  gauer: That or adding a tid link such as Gashimov Memorial (2017) (when redirected on a ticket to an external link, I am less likely to visit the same external link which might also be included at a tid biography - usually at a <ticket> page I don't check much of the live external news) to an open ticket might be a way to improve the style of seeing a ticket.
