 | | Tabanus: <Susan> I'm happy to hear this :) Please recruit as many as you can afford! There are so many things to do. |
| Oct-10-18 | | Dr Winston OBoogie: Do you have access to the Chessgames dot com email address, ma'am? If so I'll dig out the email about the police and send you it? Also I received that email because I said something like.. "I wish death on no man but I couldn't care less if Trump dropped dead" ^^ That's why I was suspended and that's genuinely one of the only times Daniel emailed me explaining why. Some years ago someone on twitter reported <this site> to the FBI because of the Rogoff page, I'm <<guessing>> Daniel got that message loud and clear, I don't think some people here realise that saying something on the internet is just the same as if you said it on TV or in the street. |

 | | Susan Freeman: The FBI , although quite busy with the Trump Investigation, has key words that trigger attention. Everything on the internet is seen. There are even underwater detectors. I think they have gotten more sophisticated since those days ,however. Words that resemble terrorism, for example *vest, president, blow up, bomb* are red flags. I know this because my daughter said something in a chat room. Later I went into a high security web site, with authorization of course, and her conversation popped up. Most likely because she used my pc. Although Kathy Griffin ,I think that was her name, held up a beheaded Trump on national TV. Being a more public figure, she lost her job and all respect. There are certain levels of decorum. Wishing anyone dead is abhorrent, if we are part of the human race , But encouraging an attack on the president even said in a provocative way could cause trouble that I don’t need. I have enough trouble right now just settling the estate. Here in ends my sermon for the day |

 | | chessgames.com: <Tabanus: Hi Susan, at Biographer Bistro (kibitz #18688), only two days before Daniel passed away, he posted that <Sargon hasn't done much work lately as he's involved in other matters, and we're working on training others to fill in, and I've been handling a lot of corrections lately. I'm sorry if some things are taking longer than normal.>> Orly? All Sargon had been doing was correction slips, and they were basically current when Dan passed. Certainly not behind schedule. That was a bit of fudging on Dan's part — especially since he had cut Sargon's monthly pay in <half> at the time. Dan was basically trying to cover for that decision. In any event, any gratuitous hand-wringing about the future of Chessgames.com is unfounded. Period. Admin tasks are being delegated so that upgrades and development can be implemented by qualified personnel. Dan's biggest frustration was getting bogged down in so much mundane administration -- HE should have begun delegating long ago. He was perhaps a little too overprotective, to be honest... |

 | | Susan Freeman: Well, this site WAS his baby! :) |
| Oct-12-18 | | zanzibar: <gratuitous hand-wringing> and gratuitous deletions? |
Oct-13-18
 | | Susan Freeman: without prejudice |
| Oct-13-18 | | wordfunph: <Susan Freeman: I am just stopping in with a post to say a formal "hello" to everyone. As you know, my late son, Daniel, (AKA Sneaky), was the controlling owner of Chessgames. I hope everyone is continuing to enjoy this unique and entertaining site. As for myself, I am learning more each day thanks to wonderful supportive members.> olalahhh :)
thanks Madam..
Daniel Freeman lives on! |

 | | Susan Freeman: Yes!!! He does!!! |
| Oct-13-18 | | cormier: <<<<<<<<i think it's better to post this here:> in new brunswick french nurses have to pass an american-translated-exam,> it's very tuff for a woman who is not bilingual or not having a good enough knowledge of english, it's almost imposible for many of them ...> because of this many are turn-back even if they have the vocation and call .....> it would be better if they could get another little-plus-studying after the exams to perfectionise it,> because they are at time very close to their goals, and have paid a lot of money for it already,> furthermore there are a great lack of nurses .......> ths S> |
Oct-13-18
 | | Susan Freeman: <Cormier > that doesn’t sound like the Canadian way. Everything was always bilingual for exactly that reason. I was not aware they had many French speaking nurses in New Brunswick
That’s a shame, really |
| Oct-13-18 | | cormier: we also got the same problemes with the ambulancers, we would also need many more too |
Oct-13-18
 | | Susan Freeman: Sounds dangerous. I have always said we need more GOOD nurses not necessarily just more. |
| Oct-14-18 | | thegoodanarchist: In my opinion top priority should be a page for the upcoming World Championship match. Maybe it exists already and I missed it? |
Oct-14-18
 | | Annie K.: Too early for that yet... two weeks in advance or so should be plenty. Right now we need the European Club Cup. :) |
| Oct-14-18 | | thegoodanarchist: Not too early. The month before is a fine time. |
Oct-14-18
 | | OhioChessFan: I think 2 weeks is sufficient. If you make it a month, that'll just be 2 more weeks of discussing whether RJF was the best player ever. |
Oct-14-18
 | | Annie K.: ... and that's why, yep. |
| Oct-14-18 | | Robed.Bishop: Are you saying he wasn’t? |
| Oct-14-18 | | cormier: a little song ...

 | | OhioChessFan: From my forum:
<chessgames.com:
Rest assured that this statement represents the <unanimous> consensus opinion of both site Ownership <and> Admin, and therefore, such defamatory posts are precisely the sort of snot-nosed tactic which should be assiduously avoided moving forward.> Is it in fact the unanimous opinion of the site ownership that the site admin is correct to refer to someone's posts as a "snot-nosed tactic"? This could make quick work of what I thought would be a long term decision making process. |
| Oct-15-18 | | cormier: hi <Free Speech>, obviouslly, if your speech is true and tell's the real thruth and nothing but an edifying thruth, no negatives consequences will ever happen ... ths T |
Oct-15-18
 | | Susan Freeman: <ocf> that was a general statement reinforcing the guidelines. Not a personal affront. And btw. Zanzibar is not on the board of directors and never was. All is well. It is too bad this nonsense distracts from the chess in Chessgames. We need a moratorium on negativity. These groundless speculations aren’t much fun. It is all good. 😊 |
Oct-15-18
 | | Susan Freeman: Actually not a moratorium. A total elimination. It is a distraction. |
