WannaBe: In case I forgot, congrats to them Lady Bruins. =)) U. Mich (69-63) won, but the last spread I saw was -6.5, so if you took UConn w/ spread, you got very lucky, if you bet on them U. Mich, I feel bad; the O/U was 148.5

WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

WannaBe: ¡Olé! ¡Olé! this is what I see for "¡Olé! ¡Olé!" (game of the day Mar-13-2026) I also know this issue have been around for a while, and it's not that important, in IT term, it is a level 'C', cosmetic fix. But I just wish to report it again. Can CG.com unify this ...

WannaBe: <FSR> March 11 is his birthday, and usually PoD is chosen from the birth date of the player. So unless CG.com decides to change the algorithm on how PoD is decided. We will randomly get "undesired" player(s).

  cu8sfan: <JoeWms> How much time did you spend in a court room in your former life? Seems like lawyers are contagious. (-;
Dec-19-06  Larsker: <WannaBe: I have been silent (mostly) because I'm due to leave So. Cal. for a business trip to San Francisco> You're fleeing? Hmmm ... maybe RichardTaylor is right after all that this whole caissar thing is illegal ...

cu8sfan: <Most Constructive> - Hey, I'm the one handing over that torch! User: YouRang, for his work supporting me and others with the contest manager used to evaluate posts for the prediction contest.

<Best Game Collection> I have suggested two categories here, one for a single collection and one for the complete collections of a kibitzer. The first award would go to User: suenteus po 147 and the second one to Game Collection: 2006's Greatest Chess Games, because that's the one collection that ALL of us can design. Now, having to choose between these two is very difficult. I'll go for Game Collection: Road to the Championship - Boris Spassky, representing suenteus po 147's whole collection of collections.

Dec-19-06  whatthefat: Most Constructive: I can't vote for myself I suppose(!), so I'll call it a tie between <Gypsy> for all the work on his forum, <Sneaky> for his analysis of the Fischer format, and <RandomVisitor> for his constant input

Best games collection: Hastings, 1895 by <Benzol>

Dec-19-06  Larsker: <JoeWms: Do I tell her the truth, that my writing skill parallels the skill of a man complained of by many as incomprehensible?> Yes, tpstar's lines of thought can sometimes by tricky but generally speaking where there is a will and so on.
Dec-19-06  Larsker: Ah - <JoeWms> pulled his original message - the plot is thickening.
Dec-19-06  brankat: <WannaBe> Have a good and successful trip up North.

It is now 11:30 PM PST, and I've just sent You an e-mail, please check it when You have a moment. I used the address You had provided back in June. Hope it's still active. All the best to You, my friend.

Dec-19-06  brankat: <WannaBe> It appears my earlier attempt to e-mail you has failed. The return message says that the account is not in existence. I suppose You have changed/closed it (the one on yahoo.com).

Could You please send me Your "new" e-mail address at:

OhioChessFan: I realize tpstar nominated <twinlark> <domdaniel> and me as a team for most constructive. But I'm glad the voting wasn't established that way, as I'd have been unable to vote for myself for most constructive. But I can gladly vote for <twinlark> as the primary architect of a historic TBA victory.
Dec-19-06  Larsker: <JoeWms: Please kill my Caissar messages. And Larsker's thing. Thanks.> Sir, as a matter of principle, you're not in a position to tell someone to delete other people's messages as long as they don't break the posting guidelines. Once you post something, it's out there for others to read. And if they quote from what you posted, so be it.

WannaBe: I have arrived in No. Cal. Had to detour around a wreck around Santa Barbara, ended up taking the scenic route to get here. But am safe, and will tally up the votes later.

<JoeWms> I saw your request, will consider it. =)

Dec-19-06  acirce: You can still vote for funniest kibitzer? I can't make up my mind, so it will be a four-way tie: <azaris>, <euripides>, <Knight13> and <WMD>, all in their own special ways.

WannaBe: <acirce> Yes, you have until midnight eastern time.
Dec-19-06  JoeWms: <Larsker> You say I'm not in a position to tell [WannaBe] to delete other people's messages? I didn't tell him, I asked politely, with "Please." It was a personal thing and I wanted to lay it to rest. A courtesy.

I killed the original message in about a minute -- "poster's remorse." You did a Gotcha! -- a cute one, yes -- on a fragment, and you acknowledged that the whole message had been deleted.

This is a personal thing that does not involve you, Larsker.

No - I did not do a Gotcha! Why should I?

I made a comment and then - probably after reading it - you reconsidered and deleted your original message.
