Skilling Open Prelim (2020) (kibitz #1)

  Tabanus: https://championschesstour.com/regu...

Skilling Open is the first of 10 Champions Chess Tour events, one for each month. Each of the 10 is in two parts, a round robin and a knockout, similar to e. g. Legends of Chess (2020). To prevent a practically uneditable disaster,

a) CG can join the two together with a list of players (no table) under the name "Skilling Open" and hope that someone will make an intro similar to Legends of Chess (2020) (my preference)

b) CG can split each event in two parts (which apparently is about to happen). This will require <two> intros (one for each part) for <one> event. Too messy IMO, considering also tour points, etc.

c) CG should in any case have all the games as <Rapid> (not Classical), and then hope that someone will edit later the (not so many) games that are either Blitz or Armageddon (in the knockout part).

MissScarlett: All new Steinitz games (except those with the wrong score) are being sidetracked:

Wilhelm Steinitz

Bring back <Annie>. I suspect she's regretting leaving. Extend an olive branch.

<Miss Scarlett> on the two Steinitz pages, I just emailed <Stephen> to let him know about it.

Wilhelm Steinitz

Wilhelm Steinitz

According to <Stephen's> post yesterday in <Stonehenge> forum, we can merge players with the new tool- although I cannot see any instructions on the actual slip page as to how to do this.

At any rate I am sure <Stephen> will clear this up for us sooner rather than later.

If you read his post over at the <Henge House> you may find some good news about your good self as well. It appears you have some friends in "high places"...
