Interesting thing is that i consistently took high road - despite <george wallace>/<big pawn> throwing all vulgarity, abuses at me - for four hours non stop , however , i was through out civil. In other words , <george wallace> tried his best to drag me down to his level , i took high road nonetheless.

  MissScarlett: Talking of blow-up dolls:

<Resusci Anne, also known as Rescue Anne, Resusci Annie, CPR Annie, Resuscitation Annie, or CPR Doll is a model of medical simulator used for teaching both emergency workers and members of the general public>

I just checked and notice comments are still prohibited on Life Master Goldsby's games.

"The kibitzing for this page has been disabled until further notice. — Mgmt"

How many years have his games now been blocked?

Is this a permanent closure?

A.J. doesn't even post here anymore.

Susan Freeman: <MissScarlett> Annie was a 12 year old daughter of a physician, I think local, who drowned in the pool because noone knew CPR. He immortalized her.

Nice.

Tal vs Petrosian, 1957 (kibitz #42)

Never had that crap in the old "regime".

Mar-11-21  Caissanist: <Z> What is the restriction you are referring to? Are you trying to post something in addition to what you showed here?
Mar-11-21  Z truth 000000001: <Caissanist> - nothing but the content shown - simply put, that was the post that was prohibited.

I was prevented from posting it because many of my accounts are on "restricted kibitzing" due to some non-transparent algorithm based on <CG> "members" ignore lists.

I believe a particular nefarious character (or characters) might be using an army of sock puppets to warp the <CG> algorithm, but I can't be entirely sure. Certainly, any autonomous system is subject to abuse now that the administration isn't intrinsically involved on a daily basis as it was in the past (i.e. Daniel is no longer steering the ship).

As I said, the process is non-transparent, though it was put in place fairly long ago:

chessgames.com chessforum (kibitz #21765)

I'm fairly certain, however, that it wasn't intended to be used for targeting political opponents.

  kingscrusher: Hi Guys

Please can there be some link backs from the games to the tournament overview page of:

US Championship 1959

Game Collection: US Championship 1959/60

I think if the actual games linked back via the tournament name, it would be great to have that context page.

E.g. Fischer vs Bisguier, 1959

If this game had a hyperlink from "USA-ch (1959), New York, NY USA" it would be great in my view, if someone has time do that.

Cheers, K

MissScarlett: There seems to be no way of using the search function to bring together games by event name. I suspect there are more than a few Melody Amber games that are not correctly labelled as either RAPID or BLINDFOLD, but it's too labourious to trail through all the games of the respective years to locate them.

Mar-14-21  Sokrates: Magnus Carlsen Invitational, 13-21 March.

Another missed tournament start, or should I just say missed tournament?

I guess CG is not about contemporary chess life any longer, but rather an old warehouse (13?) at the end of a soon forgotten rocky road with scared lizards creeping under the stones.

On its worn gate a yellowed paper with sun-faded letters says: We are working on it, we'll open again soon, great changes ahead.

And at the end of that road walks a disgraced priest, trying to find himself. Yet instead, he finds a young woman, possessed by a demon, and he must do an emergency exorcism because her accompanying friends are at their wits ends, imploring the priest: Father, come to the end of a lonely block of houses... to help our friend...

While a thunderstorm rages... and her non-Christian friends gather round to (help?) ??

Into whom will the demon escape? Could be you, you lowely manifestations of men...
