MissScarlett: Given's <jess>'s stated wish to turn <cg> into something akin to the <English Chezzzzzz Forum>, does she have an opinion on the reinstatement of <AJ Goldsby>? Can <cg> withstand his (allegedly) corrosive, pernicious, divisive, insidious presence?

Check It Out: It did and it will. The more interesting question is, why did you push so hard to get him reinstated?

Thanks, your opinion has been noted but for now it will stay.

It seems that I(millennials) don't put up with half the 💩 older folks must've had to in the past. Does the older generation see that as weakness?

Aug-27-22  stone free or die: Well, if you're targeting toenail fungus ads to the crowd, it's likely to a bunch of old farts (who presumably sleep with their socks on).

Not that there's anything wrong with getting old (I hope to, one day), but I do wonder if Roger Daltry' had toenail fungus in mind when he sang this song:

After seeing those photographs I think I just might agree!

Little Feat pretty much pegged it right...

Aug-27-22  George Wallace: <MissScarlett: <It's demoralizing. I'm one of many that refuse to work in a toxic environment.>

I called it a month ago. I could just tell.

<It seems that I(millennials) don't put up with half the 💩 older folks must've had to in the past. Does the older generation see that as weakness? >

Yes. It's not a manly attitude. A man should be strong, not sensitive.

It's not that older folks <had> to put up with stuff in the past, it's just that older folks weren't sensitive, as though their feelings surround them in this giant, delicate little bubble and is in danger of popping if it touches anything at all.

We were taught to be strong and manly, not sensitive and effeminate, so we could hang anywhere and hold our own. I think it's because more us grew up with our fathers in the home. Most guys that grow up with a single mom running the show end up hopelessly beta.

How/when did you get that error message?

chancho: Some people have gone on about how AJ is toxic.

The truth of the matter is that some of the posters provoked him via mockery and insults.

(guilty as charged.)

Wallace, on the other hand, is interested in insulting the posters on a daily basis.

Check his post at <stevemcd87>:

<Wallace: the other difference is that I’ve been marinating in what you would call a <toxic environment> for over a decade on the rogoff page, and I like it like that.>

So by his own admission, he likes to instigate arguments rather than reasoned discourse and it led to other posters doing the same.

(guilty as charged.)

If Wallace would not resort to attacking other people's manliness (or wives), but rather tried to engage in respectable reasoned arguments, that would be ok.

But he likes the "toxicity." and that made the Rogoff page into the mess that turned away many posters from this site.

If that isn't enough, he doesn't respect the site owner and the moderator given the verbiage he's been spewing of late.

I'm glad the guidelines are being strictly enforced.

Hopefully we can all just return to acting like civilized people instead of caged pitbulls.
