Yes, he is itching to return. I get private emails all the time. He also wants a public apology. Now that's pushing it too far.> You have to first enhance security so that you can let a guy who attacks your website back in? What kind of twisted logic is that? He attacks your website and threatens it, but instead of being contrite he wants a public apology? Why are you giving this guy the time of day? |

 | | Check It Out: It wasn't another member who threatened sockpuppet armageddon on CG, it was him: <Now about sock accounts, well, they might be necessary now that tyranny and censorship is back in power here at <CG>.I have a contractor from Bangladesh who screwed up a job I put him on. He wants to get more gigs from me, but he's in the dog house. I wouldn't even have to pay him anything, not a dime, for him to use a VPN and create 1000 accounts over the next year, every day, a few here and there. All I have to do is make it an addon to the next job and he'll do it for free. Different IP addresses every time (down to the Class C IP), different locations, different emails - very easy. Just sayin', it will take me ZERO time to adjust if I have to, or if I want to.> Kenneth Rogoff (kibitz #4042) |

More likely a case of Pawn just shooting off his big fat mouth. It's highly unlikely he would so openly spell out a threat to hack the site if he was serious about it. If he really intended such a diabolical thing he wouldn't advertise it. <Susan Freeman: ... he swears it is another member ...> I would like to hear his account of the matter and who he thinks it might be. |

<Proverbs 8:13 “To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behaviour and perverse speech.” Proverbs 11:2 “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” Proverbs 16:5 “The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.”> Yes, I freely admit to having more than a small share of pride myself. But it's infinitesimal in comparison... |

Jan-21-23 | | stone free or die: E.g. here's <bippy> bragging and hacking for his own nefarious purposes at the expense of the <CG> community at-large: <<Big Pawn>: I'm introducing the <Pawn Plan> to <Beautify the

all that. I'm going to lead the way to elevated discussion in this
forum, challenging the limits of everyone's understanding of music,
philosophical theories on the perception of aesthetics, the philosophy
of beauty, definable essences behind different genres of film, music
and art, classic literature (like The Republic), the relationship
between creativity, genius and insanity and the elusive relationship
between beauty and truth.
- The Pawn Plan.>
Kibitzer's Café (kibitz #235052) <The Republic - Part 7 of 238> Kibitzer's Café (kibitz #235094) . These exploits came during the vacuum created by <Daniel>'s death, when <bippy> decided to cut-and-paste Faust, Plato, etc., etc. . |

Jan-21-23 | | stone free or die: But please allow me to note, my dear <opie>, that you're defending <bippy>, which is irrelevant to Suzz's argument. She claims the account isn't <bippy>. (Unbelievably!) But please note that despite this she hasn't lifted the ban completely (yet). Thus, we can only conclude that she believes this account was involved in hacking <CG>. . |
