 | | jnpope: <<YandyRB>: Hi Nick Pope: Evidence about Game 51 between La Bourdonnais and McDonnell sent to your mailbox> I don't see anything in my yahoo.com mailbox (or in the SPAM folder). Can you confirm you sent it to: gifflefunk@y***o.com? (masked out to prevent spider-bots). You can also try the same username at gmail.com if Yahoo is rejecting it. |

Feb-18-23 | | YandyRB: "any way to keep this stuff out where all can see it?" Friend stone free or die: I have sent material to Nick Pope without being sure of its correctness. I imagine that he (as an expert on La Bourdonnais and McDonnell matters) processes it and if it is correct and useful he shares it with everyone. |

Feb-18-23 | | YandyRB: Hello everyone, I am new to posting on Chessgames and I have several questions with the page, for example: how can I receive notifications of a post in which I have commented and how can I reply to a comment from another user without copying his text? |

 | | jnpope: <<YandyRB:> Hello everyone, I am new to posting on Chessgames and I have several questions with the page, for example: how can I receive notifications of a post in which I have commented and how can I reply to a comment from another user without copying his text?> I'm not sure about receiving a notification, but if you look at your user page: User: YandyRB A graphical star will appear for any thread that has new post after your last post (which may or may not be a reply to you, it is just an activity indicator). CG doesn't have a reply to comment feature. You basically have to copy-and-paste text from above into the text box and then use < and > symbols to "color quote" text (as I did above to reprint your question). Here is a basic guide:

 | | mifralu: Lasker vs Pillsbury, 1900 Just found an early source for this game:
https://anno.onb.ac.at/cgi-content/... Source "Allgemeine Sport-Zeitung, 23 September 1900, p. 1060" |

 | | jnpope: Thanks! I always appreciate an earlier source. |

 | | MissScarlett: http://www.chessarch.com/excavation... Your <Field> column dated June 11th 1853 should be June 25th. There was no column for June 11th that I can spot. And your July 9th is actually July 2nd. |
|
Apr-12-23
 | | jnpope: Thanks. Those JGW scrapbooks keep screwing me over. I should probably so a complete audit of the scrapbook clippings I used at some point. |
|
Apr-13-23
 | | MissScarlett: One more - July 30 1853 should be August 6. |
|
Apr-14-23
 | | jnpope: Fixed. |
|
Apr-15-23
 | | MissScarlett: October 15th and 22nd 1853 should be the 22nd and 29th respectively. |
|
Apr-16-23
 | | jnpope: Thanks again. Fixed. |
|
Apr-20-23
 | | MissScarlett: Your May 20th 1854 is May 27th. Your July 29th is July 15th. Having trouble finding right date of your May 27th. |
|
Apr-20-23
 | | MissScarlett: There's a missing column - just a single problem - from July 22nd. |
|
Apr-22-23
 | | jnpope: <Having trouble finding right date of your May 27th.> Try page 515? (according the JGW scrapbook that's where it was clipped from). |
