"Play the board AND the man ! ".
But mostly the board.
Was born in Elsinore,Denmark,1953.And I am still proud of it.As I hope everyone is proud of hers/his startingpoint.

In many aspects life and chess do mirror each other IM experience. As science and belief goes hand in hand.So many "rules of thumbs" and many "exceptions" from the rule. I do agree with Bent Larsen who once said that someone who cannot contain a paradoxe is not using the full capacity of his brain.Actually I am convinced that there are no parodoxes, but perspectives which are more bright or flexible than others...

Though some obviously are borned under more easygoing circumstances than others,I will second our esteemed fellowkibitzer <zarg> who underlines that "luck" is also somehing that we create ourselves. Ourselves, but also together IM experience.
I try to live my life as if Jesus or Buddha knocked on the door , I would wellcome them as friends . And if they didn´t show up, it would be fine anyway.

moronovich: Morning or good noon Dear <morfishine> !

Vive la artist who happened to be your dentist ! And guacamole is a clear winner.Said the guy who is on a cure were it is forbidden ): The more I think about it,the better it tastes :) But popcorn is culturel cornerstone and should be on everyones bucket list.... Yes I am enjoying the candidates, except from the fact that Ding has started with two losses. He was my ticket to the title.Rest in pieces, moro + .

Stay safe and all the best to you and your loved ones !

p.s.Had a hit yesterday at the (money) bookies so I sit here with the daily tickets and enjoying the gluten free brunch, just three quarters before off.

Mar-26-20  morfishine: Well Dear <moronovich> The candidates has stopped, and with it, the bookie game too, We're doomed!

Nah, just kidding, there are more important things to be concerned with now; I'm impressed with your safety measures, can never be too careful!

moronovich: hi my Dear <morfishine> !

Yes,we are doomed and it is business as usual:Waiting for the Candidates …):

Which may be the best solution by FIDE,everything considered.

I suppose you are right that we can never be too carefull in these times we live in.

Take care over there and stay safe !

p.s. Wife and I were skyping with my sister in Kentucky this afternoon. That was great !

Mar-31-20  Count Wedgemore: God formiddag, kjære <moronovich>! Takk for tipset du gav meg. Min svigersønn har vært og kjøpt solhatt i dag. Så nå er Julia satt på solhatt-kur :)

Viktig å styrke immunforsvaret hennes nu etter sykdom. Så dette er virkelig verdt å prøve. Takk for rådet!

moronovich: Good evening Dear <morfishine> !

Well there is unfortunately no fixed recipe...but sometimes it helps with another perspective.Once at my first international in Sweden I was incredible nervous before the first round.Like going to the guillotine. But then out of pure necessity,I recalled the lovely face of my 5 months old son.And that helped !

Hope you are well and stay safe.
I send you the best of wishes.

Ikke akkurat den påsken noen av oss hadde tenkt oss, men vi får prøve å ta det med godt humør.

Håper dere holder dere trygge og friske i kongens by.
Mange hilsener fra meg.

  moronovich: Hi jingohanson !

Sounds like a perhaps swedish name !?
My father is ½ swedish…

I see what you mean by day 4,but it was also me who was a little slow as Rd 2 is fitting as well.

And I am shure I speak on behalf of many CGérs,that your work here is much appreciated.

Hope you enjoy it as well !?

Ciao !

Apr-28-20  morfishine: Good Evening Dear <moronovich>! I hope this finds you in good health and good spirits!

I saw an unusual bird today, a Swallow-Tail Kite, which is common here but rarely seen since it hangs around wetlands away from people. This one was swooping right and left over the houses and was so active I could not get a photo or video, but thats ok, I found the bird: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swall...

What caught my eye was the shape of its elongated and split tail. These are 'pernine raptors' so have smaller bodies, heads and beaks, but slightly larger wings and tails, resulting in a lightweight, very fast and very agile bird, perfect characteristics for a raptor.

moronovich: Good morning Dear <morfishine> !

Thanks for the bird. What a lovely creature.Sounds like quite a privellege that you spotted it !

And I also hope this find you in good health and spirits.Soon I´ll send you a mail.

Till then : Stay safe.

Apr-29-20  morfishine: <moronovich> This one was really special! From 30 yards away as it darted left and right, turning on a dime, I was thinking "What is that?" This is quite an energetic bird, almost hyper-active, chasing anything in the immediate vicinity. Other birds are quickly dispatched if they come in its range
May-02-20  morfishine: Good afternoon Dear <moronovich>! I've had an interesting few days trying to see a bird that I can plainly hear, but it remains hidden! It makes a call that I move towards, then the call comes from a different side, so when I move that direction, the sound then comes from a different direction! I wonder if this bird can throw or project its call maybe as a defense mechanism? I'm sure though its an Eastern Screech owl

I've attached a link that shows the 5 varieties of owls found in Florida along with their calls! I hope you enjoy: http://blogs.ifas.ufl.edu/polkco/20...
