AXEL MARTINIUS ERICHSEN
(born Jan-18-1883, died Mar-22-1965, 82 years old) Norway

[what is this?]

Axel Martinius Erichsen learned chess in 1904 by his friend, the photographer Hans Christian Christoffersen. They were three or four who met in a cafe in Drammen to play chess a couple of days each week. He was more and more intrigued by the game, and became Norwegian Champion in 1922.
