Jun-09-11  cjgone: This guy apparently likes 1.g3.
Jul-26-11  wordfunph: 2011 World ChessTeam Championship:

IM Samy Shoker (2475) shocked GMs Areshchenko (2682) and Mamedyarov (2765)..

http://chess-results.com/tnr53136.a...

another GM-norm for Shoker, congrats!

Jul-26-11  dx9293: This guy can handle pressure: to get his GM norm, he needed to defeat the 2765-rated Mamedyarov on demand, with the Black pieces. And he managed it. Shoker got a structural advantage and rode it all the way home.

This is one of the toughest GM norms one is ever going to see!

Jul-27-11  Xeroxx: Shokers gonna shoke.
Aug-11-13  niemzo: He didn't manage to score another win against Shak today. It was a rather short game.
Nov-26-13  dx9293: Wow...Shoker trying to perform miracles again in the World Team Championship? In Round 1, he defeated Arkadiy Naiditsch (2727) with Black!
Nov-27-13  john barleycorn: Mr. Shoker was nominated "Barracuda 2013". <Tolengoy> is MC at the event.
May-12-14  akinov: Samy Shoker now GM-Elect?!
May-30-14  akinov: Samy is becoming a GM pretty soon....http://ratings.fide.com/title_appli...
Aug-16-14  akinov: GM Shoker.........loading
Aug-29-14  akinov: Samy Shoker has officially been awarded the Grand Master (GM) title !!
Apr-20-15  waustad: The pun has been used before, but his win over Sutovsky today in the World Team Championship was surely a shocker. If Adly holds the draw, Egypt will beat Israel 2.5 - 1.5.
Dec-20-15  Whitehat1963: Kid's name is tailor-made for headlines.
