 | | offramp: Thanks, <Sargon>. The site never went down, we always had coverage of the great tiebreaks. |
|
Nov-28-18
 | | OhioChessFan: Thanks for all the WCC coverage. |

 | | Annie K.: Yes, first of all a BIG round of applause for <Sargon>, who did a fantastic job of covering this exciting World Championship. :) Second, yes, we would like to hold the annual Holiday Present Hunt as per site tradition, and would be happy to consider user submissions at this time. Send'em in please! |

 | | Domdaniel: Thanks, Annie, you're a star. |
|
| Nov-29-18 | | Dr Winston OBoogie: <Domdaniel: Will there be a Clue Hunt this year?> I knew you'd be asking about that, lol. I said to myself.. If Dom isn't back for the Xmas clue puzzles then there's <definitely> something wrong. Like I said, glad you're okay :) |
|
| Nov-30-18 | | Count Wedgemore: Where do I submit game pun suggestions?
I've got plenty of great offerings for the good people of <chessgames>. In my country they just call me 'the pun whisperer'. But, I have no idea how to submit my innovative and groundbreaking material. Please, <CG>. Or, someone..anyone, HELP ME. |
|
Nov-30-18
 | | Annie K.: <Count Wedgemore> right here: Pun Submission Page :) And thanks for reminding me! Indeed, we would also be happy to see more new pun submissions, as well as Klus. =) |
|
| Nov-30-18 | | Count Wedgemore: Thanks, <Annie>! You are the best. |

Great! And who knows, one day this site will also be happy to see new chess game submissions.> This may be a reference to Sargon himself,
<who has most unquestionably been a criminally slow coach during the whole of this transaction, but whose speed will now be very unexpectedly accelerated, and whose wheels, gentlemen, as he will find to his cost, will very soon be greased by you!

 | | OhioChessFan: FWIW, I agree with the new policy of identifying the author of the pun for GOTD. |
|
| Dec-02-18 | | computer chess guy: You still have very spotty coverage of correspondence chess. For example, Aleksandr Dronov (winner, 29th corr. World Championship) only has a few games in the database. Same with Leonardo Ljubičić (28th corr. World Championship winner). Many of their games are available on iccf.com. |
|
| Dec-03-18 | | john barleycorn: < OhioChessFan: FWIW, I agree with the new policy of identifying the author of the pun for GOTD.> absolutely. makes it easier for <morfishine> to direct his incredible intellect more efficiently. Ok, I apologize for using the word "intellect" with <morfishine> in one sentence. |

 | | Susan Freeman: I think this site is really picking up and doing well, especially considering the traumatic change of leadership! Thank you all, members and administration. :) |

 | | Annie K.: <J> only if you're in the mood for understatements. BTW, I think you should submit a few puns... for experimental purposes, of course. =) |

 | | Susan Freeman: Traumatic stands for non surgical rupture/and amputation of the founding father. The remaining organs and appendages are intact and functionality is preserved.
I tend to think in medical terms. |
|
| Dec-03-18 | | crawfb5: <computer chess guy> Here's a breakdown of what the site does and doesn't have for corr. WC events: Game Collection: 0 - meta correspondence world championship Last time I did the math it was about 1700 missing games that could be submitted. Unfortunately, the game submission utility is not particularly useful, especially with that massive a game list, so I have not tried to submit any. It may eventually see improvement, but other things are higher priority. |
