<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

Jan-31-16  Karposian: <OCF: Accepting his award, <Penguincw> said "While I don't mind sharing this award with <Corrosion>, you really have to notice that 67.82% of the words in this feud were my words, and only 32.8% were his, so obviously, I'm the superior feuder, blah blah blah...>

ROFLMAO

Jan-31-16  Karposian: Thanks <OCF> and <chessmoron> for another great contest. It was a tough contest, and I'm happy to have obtained a silver medal. Congrats to all the winners, and a special salute goes to <OCF> for his "Penguincw's acceptance speech". LOL, Can't stop laughing.
Jan-31-16  Golden Executive: Thanks to the whole crew (<chessmoron>, <OhioChessFan>, <WinKing> and <Penguincw>) for the contest. A lot of fun as usual.

Congratulations to all the medal winners and see you guys and gals next time.

Penguincw: I usually don't include probabilities in the final speech I give after each contest. I might include them in any rebuttals with <arposianK>, to actually prove a point instead of just babbling like an idiot.

< OCF: ... While I don't mind sharing this award with <Corrosion> >

What do you mean "don't mind sharing". Of course I mine. It's been contaminated by him.

  Penguincw: Anyway:

Thanks to <OhioChessFan> and <chessmoron> for the contest, <WinKing> for keeping score (oh wait, nvm, I take that back) and <Chessgames Bookie> for making this contest more interesting.

Congrats to <SwitchingQuylthulg> for having a huge R12 performance to steal the gold in Moves and First Ranker (and also a silver in Total Ranker). This is his 4th multi-crown.

Congrats to <WK> for winning a gold in Bonus Ranker despite being last in Moves and First Ranker. He also won a bronze to remain ahead of <cm> for most runner-up medals, now up to 40.

Congrats to <OCF> who hung on to win 4 medals: a gold and 3 silver (should've been a gold, 2 silver and a bronze, but <WK> withdrew 4 points from my name).

Congrats to all the other medalists as well.

As for <Karposian>, congrats to you for passing me on the HOF.

Oh wait, still didn't happen. This is the 4th time he said he would pass me on the HOF, but the 4th time he's failed. But he did <approach> me:

<chessmoron>, are you going to host the Candidates?

Jan-31-16  Karposian: <Penguincw: HOF>

Well, I've surpassed <imag>. That means you're next :)

Feb-01-16  WinKing: Thanks to <chessmoron> for running this extremely challenging contest & thanks to <OhioChessFan> for hosting & providing us all with a running commentary!

Congrats to all of the medal winners! A fine performance turned in by <SwitchingQuylthulg> to grab a couple of golds in both Moves Ranker categories & another fine performance by <OhioChessFan> to pick up the gold in the Moves & Bonus Ranker category. A highly spirited affair with plenty of ups & downs. Looking forward to seeing all of you in the next challenge.

OhioChessFan: <chessmoron: Thanks to you guys for the best rounds of predictions for any tournament I've done. A round applause to you guys.>

I meant to agree with that statement. The last tournament was really tough and the scores were really good. I don't know how to objectively measure such things, but I had a strong sense throughout, as <chessmoron> did, that it was one of our best as a group.
