<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

OhioChessFan: As we await with trembling hands and pounding hearts, my thanks to <WinKing> for pulling this off. No way I could have. And I meant no insult to <chessmoron> as I didn't notice until the proceedings had started that he wasn't on board and it seemed too late then to pull the plug.

juan31: Thanks to <WinKing and OhioChessFan> congratulations to all.
Jul-07-19  Count Wedgemore: Another great contest. Thanks to <WinKing> for the scorekeeping in <chessmoron>'s absence (perhaps he's at that "Chess Club" that's sometimes been talked about here :=), and once again a big thanks to <OCF> for his phenomenal recaps. Always a pleasure! Congratulations to <lostemperor> and <WinKing> for their double golds. See you all next time, which I hope will be soon.
Jul-07-19  chessmoron: This is unacceptable. This is un-sanctioned tournament. All results will be nullified immediately. https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons...
Jul-07-19  WinKing: Yeah sure, good timing <chessmoron> show up when the tournament is over. :) The last we heard from you was your Birthday on June 15th.. Hope you had a nice 3 week celebration.

p.s. I'll send you a bill for my scorekeeping of this tournament. ;)

Jul-07-19  WinKing: I gotta say keeping score & trying to play this game with your sanity in tact is tough. I don't blame <chessmoron> for taking a little time off. Special thanks to <OhioChessFan> being a great host & keeping us all entertained with his recaps while we were playing.

Congratulations to all of those fortunate enough to bring home a medal or two! <lostemperor>, that was a dazzling display hitting no less than 5 exacts & 9 unders in the Moves Ranker. Had you not missed the 1st round I honestly believe you would have a 'triple crown' in your possession instead of just the 'double crown'. I thought I played well but you played better. Kudos to you! Hope to see all of you at the next contest whenever that may be.

  OhioChessFan: ** Final Recap **

It was a mad rush to the finish, with <lostemperor> and <WinKing> winning 2 golds each. Both of them ate the chocolate candy inside the gold foil wrappers and then tried to fold the foil back into shape.

In a shocking finish, <OhioChessFan> repeatedly berated <Winky> for some irrelevant scoring mistakes. <Winky> started to spit some of his chocolate at <OCF>, but decided to enjoy the fruits of his labor, and just swallowed it instead. Meanwhile, <chessmoron> showed up as the janitors were sweeping up the playing arena floor, and ran to the microphone, screaming that the results won't count. Everyone was stunned into silence, until <Count Wedgemore> pointed out the ticket stub from the "Chess Club" in <cm's> pocket. <chessmoron> then quietly slipped away, mumbling about what kind of losers would prefer to predict chess games as opposed to visit the "Chess Club", but not before <OCF> took this actual live action photo.

http://www.quickmeme.com/img/57/570...

Thanks to <WinKing> for everything, thanks to everyone for playing, and best wishes to <chessmoron> for his month long birthday celebration at the "Chess Club".

Jul-08-19  lostemperor: Thanks <WinKing> and congratulations also to the other winners! Also Sponsor <Elvis> for the comments! I had a great tournament with 5 exact predictions and at least 4 just one move off! :p
Jul-08-19  wordfunph: <WinKing> <OhioChessFan>, great thanks!

arriba to all medalists!

Jul-09-19  bubuli55: < WinKing > < OhioChessFan > thanks for the games!
