Sep-26-18  morfishine: This is a perfect example why <OhioChessFan> should be banned from this site. Propagating these lies cannot go unanswered: <But if there were a game imposed on me, whereby I <had> to vote one person off this site, it would be <morfishine> And it would be an easy vote>

Not such an easy vote <OhioCluelessFan>

<And I am certain I wouldn't be the only one to cast that vote. His incredible coarseness and vulgarity and chiding and hypcocrisy and what have you are off the rails. I see a disconnect there, in that he apparently doesn't recognize how awful his behavior has been the last couple of years> Show me some examples where I have attacked people vs defending myself and or simply being critical of your precious pathetic puns

<To have a person like that going around and pushing buttons and blowing the whistle against people who are philosophically opposed to blowing the whistle is beyond infuriating> This qualifies for the dumbest comment of the year. Following <CG>'s rules and blowing the whistle against rule breakers is hardly "infuriating". The problem here is <OhioCluelessFan> has a grudge against me for attacking puns, which is far different from attacking people. Case closed on this one

<What exactly is one to do? IMHO, he's a punk who purposely provokes people, and when they respond 1/10th as much in kind as he provokes, he runs and tells> Sorry, <Clueless> I am no punk and I do not purposely provoke people. The person you describe perfectly fits the description of <john barleycorn>. Just shut up already, you are the one who is clearly the hypocrite, not me. Because you are a chronic hypocrite, you have no credibility and thus, you are irrelevant

I stand by my friends because I have high morals. You are a two-faced back-stabbing m____r f____r who has no morals

I feel sorry for those individuals who consider you a friend

<...to go after him and blow the whistle on his horrible posts> Nice try <OhioCluelessFan> you really do live in La La land

Respectfully, morf

Sep-26-18  morfishine: Oh, and BTW, our dear troller friend <john barleycorn> continues to thumb his nose at <CG> admin, while not only refusing to remove the daily attack against myself, he questions <Sargon>'s legitimacy

All this from a non-paying, non-premium member, a low life cheap skate, our highly esteemed <john barleycorn>

<Dear Chessgames.com Admin,

that's a pretty weak answer from the "new management". Just go ahead, take your time, and censor my "bio" by eliminating the notification of the previous CG management unless you change your current opinion.

Have a great weekend>

<Dear Chessgames user “john barleycorn”:

Your posting of my name without explicit authorization is a flagrant violation of one of our posting guidelines:

#5: No posting personal information of members.

This is a formal warning: please refrain from such obvious violations of the posting guidelines.

Additionally, the responses you receive from the current admin are considered private—intended for you personally—and should not be posted to the site. If this was not the Admin policy in the past, it is now. We have the ability to make public announcements when we so desire.

This is a transitional period within which nearly the entire community is grieving the sudden loss of Mr. Freeman, and it is not the appropriate time to “push the envelope”. Sincerely, Chessgames.com admin >

<Excuse me, but kindly stop your unsubstantiated crap. your <real> name and your cg name <sargon> have been made public before. and then if you want to censor me that is your decision. all fine and well. go, <sargon>, go but stop emailing me this kind of nonsense. >

<Greetings john barleycorn:

Despite the facts you cite above, *I* wish to retain a *measure* of anonymity by not having my name sprayed all over the place, especially when the posts are trollish in nature—as deemed by ME. It is MY prerogative when and where I decide that this has occurred.

Notwithstanding the fact that my name has been made public a few times, those who have mentioned it have done so with my implicit or explicit permission, and/or from entirely pure motives. You do not meet those criteria. Consequently, I reserve the right to enforce posting guideline #5 on my own behalf, so please be advised—don’t post my name again unless you meet the conditions above.

As I noted, such postings as the one you made, especially when personal information is *gratuitously* included, are a violation of Chessgames.com posting guideline #5, and will be enforced whenever the target of the post complains, and indeed perhaps in some cases where the Admin or Owners of this site deem it prudent.

Parenthetically, the posting guidelines will be updated VERY soon to include restrictions against any excessively antagonistic (trollish) behavior, the determination of which will of course be at the sole discretion of the management>

Judge for yourself

<john barleycorn> sadly tried to tie this into <CG>'s "standards" which are no more than enforcing the rules with a SOP, that is copying-pasting the post in question so the person knows what the posting suspension is for.

"Standards" only apply here to <john barleycorn>'s incredibly low standards

best always, morf

Susan Freeman: For the record, I AM management. I am the owner, the CEO and CFO. Sargon is the COO. He is my COO, and he affectionately calls me his boss lady. My own mother and I gave Daniel the start up money for Chessgames. I have known Lee for 30 years, since college. My mother even stayed at his house during one of the hurricanes when she had to evacuate. This website is here to stay. It is all good.

HeMateMe: Ok, Ms Freeman, thanks for ringing in. I'm still just a little suspicious of your account...

<https://theyellowbrickroadfreeblog....>

But, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. My own mother was long retired at age 70, which makes me wonder about the <susan Freeman> account....

As I said, let's give you the benefit of the doubt.

As a woman, don't you think that the female Olympiad teams should have a page (on the home page) in 2018 as they were for all Olympiads when Daniel Freeman was actively running this site?

HeMateMe: You're a beard account for the one person actually running this site, right? This one person felt uncomfortable technically being responsible for everything, all contacts, so an account was created in which an imaginary person would appear to be answering questions.

It seems unnecessary, really.

Sep-28-18  zanzibar: <HMM> I think you're barking up the wrong beard.
Sep-28-18  john barleycorn: < zanzibar: <<jbc> There is no animosity between <ocf> and me as far as I am aware of.>

Wrong conclusion.
