That's a very narrow view of the community and you know it. It is a forum, and people count more than content, which is available elsewhere.>And that is a very pompous way of looking at it. This is first and foremost a chess site. Not a social club for political agitation. <Please don't stoop to an "if you don't like this regime just leave" argument.> I don't. But belittling the thousands of man-hours unpaid volunteers lay down in collecting biographical and historical data to something morally indefensible I found next level arrogancy.
So since everything about this place seems to rub you the wrong way, my line of questioning was one based on curiosity.

Precisely because they give a lot of their time, they better think twice where that work is going to. And currently that's a private site which has taken some very specific political stances. I'm sure <Scazo>'s fine with it, but people like <tabanus> who basically keep the site afloat, should perhaps pause and think about it. |
