MissScarlett: I'm presently ignoring these extraneous puzzles with regards to the Game Collection: Puzzle of the Day 2023.

MissScarlett: Is the bonus puzzle meant to be of equivalent difficulty to its respective twin?

OhioChessFan: Now that I've had a look on a desktop, the dual puzzle does look a little clunky. The appearance is much better on a mobile. Not a big deal in any case.

I did notice this on the homepage link "About our puzzles".

<What is the Chessgames.com Daily Puzzle? One of the most popular features of Chessgames.com is our daily chess puzzle. It can be found on the homepage, right underneath the search interface. It is updated every day at 12:00am USA/Eastern time.>

That time should be updated.

Aug-02-23  Chesschronicle22: I have a little idea if I may CG staff.
Is adding an achievement system a good idea at CG? Example: Big Opinions (Obtained: kibitzing 100 times on CG) Or is it a waste of time?
I would also suggest adding a reward for obtaining the achievments. I know the current problem is the new bonuz puzzle apearance on desktop. I'm only giving this idea for future notice and use.... Thanks You

saffuna: If I want to look at, for example, all of Henry Bird's games as white, how can I do that?

I type Bird and click "white" but it only leads me to select which "Bird" I want, then goes to his full page.

Thankfully, I was able to select "White" & "Bird" from the dropdown menu on the Advanced Search section(link below):
https://www.chessgames.com/perl/che...

Though, I did notice the bug when typing in "Henry Bird". Perhaps we can add that filter in the newer games' table(link below) in the future:
[unknown player]

saffuna: That's not the page I get. I get sent to the main Henry Bird page. Same for any player not on the dropdown list who does not have a unique name (no others with same name).

  MissScarlett: 1. Player Henry Bird

2. Repertoire Explorer - With the White Pieces

3. Search database for this position.

kingscrusher: A small thing - I am researching the Kings Indian right now and I think it should be :

Makogonov system and not "Makagonov" like in the following:

King's Indian, Makagonov System (5.h3) (e71)

So "Mako"-gonov instead of "Maka"-gonov
