Tabanus: <CG> I see you have most things under control :)

Xtracon Open (2019) should be added IMO. It's the most popular Open in Scandinavia with almost all the young and promising players. This year with Pragg as the winner, his 1st major victory. Games are at TWIC: https://theweekinchess.com/chessnew...

Xtracon Open (2018) is also missing, apparently because of Daniel's passing at the middle of the event. Games: https://theweekinchess.com/chessnew...

The 1st Xtracon Open (2016) for completeness? Games at https://theweekinchess.com/chessnew...

There are almost 2000 games in each, so perhaps apply the 2200 rating limit.

Xtracon is really same as Politiken Cup, of which 2005 (which I played in), 2008, 2010 and 2011 are also missing.

Annie K.: <Tab> I looked at Xtracon when I set up the other events, but it's a lot of games with a mostly pretty weak field. I'm not sure I want to import it at all, but I'll take another look at it.

Tabanus: <Annie> I calculated the average rating of the top 20 players from the results in Xtracon Open: 2581. For Reykjavik Open: 2575. The two are of about the same strength, and I think also in previous years. Xtracon has more young players, and a 13-year-old-winner this year.

Annie K.: <Tab> I know - we're just working on some new upload options, so I'm waiting with the imports until I can get them into the database with the right gametypes set from the start. Maybe even today. :)

  kingscrusher: Hi there

Something seems up with the PGN for castling on one game recently :

[Event "GCT St. Louis Rapid & Blitz"]
[Site "St Louis, MO USA"]
[Date "2019.08.10"]
[EventDate "2019.08.08"]
[Round "3"]
[Result "1-0"]
[White "Magnus Carlsen"]
[Black "Leinier Dominguez Perez"]
[ECO "D35"]
[WhiteElo "2882"]
[BlackElo "2763"]
[PlyCount "59"]

1. d4 d5 2. c4 e6 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. cxd5 Nxd5 5. e4 Nxc3 6. bxc3 c5 7. Rb1 Be7 8. h4 OO 9. h5 h6 10. Qg4 f5 11. Qg3 Kh8 12. Nh3 cxd4 13. Nf4 Kh7 14. Bc4 Bg5 15. OO Nc6 16. Ng6 Re8 17. Rd1 Bxc1 18. There is OO as opposed to O-O

which is why Chessbase doesn't like the paste of the PGN right now

http://www.chessgames.com/perl/nph-...

Not sure if this is just isolated though to that particular game. Maybe it is just this one.

Cheers, K

Tabanus: <Annie> I hope we're not having an edit war on Abu Dhabi Masters (2019).

Annie K.: <morfishine> of course we do. But, just as in the past, that doesn't guarantee that we will consider every complaint justified.

<Tryfon> I think the PGN there may have had em dashes instead of regular hyphens. Try again please?

<Tab> oh no, I only meant to add the link to the Leko - Morozevich side event there. Not sure how those lines got deleted... either I selected them by accident or my computer loaded the page from cache with the text from my previous edit - I'll have to watch out for that sort of thing. Sorry about that. Good thing we have the backups! :)
