cu8sfan: Thank you for your kind words on my forum. I have been so busy this year, I never had the chance to check in here on cg.com. I hope the situation has calmed down a bit. At least it seems like the difficulty level of the PotD has been fixed, I now can solve Mondays and sometimes ...

cu8sfan: The travellers trotted on, and as the sun began to sink towards the White Downs far away on the western horizon they came to Bywater by its wide pool; and there they had their first really painful shock. This was Frodo and Sam’s own country, and they found out now that they cared ...

TheAlchemist: <cu8sfan> Hey! I don't know how much you follow it, but congratulations for Dario Cologna's win in the overall world cup, it's amazing he did it at such a young age. Another Swiss star who might achieve a whole lot in the coming years.

cu8sfan: <TheAlchemist> I don't follow cross-country skiing at all but of course Cologna's been all over the news today. It's quite something he achieved this winter. I don't think Switzerland has ever had a winner in cross-country skiing. Congratulations to Dario Cologna!
Mar-24-09  RonB52734: Thanks, cu8sfan, I finally got around to updating the meta-collection this morning.

Is Spring hitting your part of the world yet?

How often does one get to play against a World Champion?

Start working on your 'home prep'. :-)

Jul-08-09  blacksburg: omg i am so jealous. good luck, Spassky is no joke.
Jul-08-09  just a kid: Good luck against Spassky!
Jul-09-09  talisman: spassky has got a whole lot of trouble coming his way. The cub nation will be there in FORCE!
Jul-09-09  Jim Bartle: Ernie Banks has suggested to Spassky that they play two, and Steve Bartman has confirmed his attendance.
Jul-10-09  talisman: <Jim Bartle> laughed out loud! cu8sfan has got to tell his strategy. maybe he can insist on playing in the ping pong room like bobby did for game 3???

cu8sfan: I am taking the simul against Boris Spassky seriously! I had a preparatory simul against Alexander Morozevich today. I lost horribly! But still, August will be the month I play not against one but two world class players. Morozevich was kind enough to sign his book for me.

I'll be playing in the Zurich tournament beginning this Saturday. Will I meet any of you there? <Benzol>? <Open Defence>?
