northernfox: Great effort by Ray Robson, with very little time through the last part of the game. Congratulations to Ray.

Just to note for Tolengoy/Glenn Salem--not that it matters for anyone who actually understands anything about chess--that So made a RED move on 36. ...Rc8, according to the Chessbomb engine. OMG LOL

OhioChessFan: Moves 34-36 were all really bad. 34 and 35 were strategically awful and 36 missed an easy tactic.

OhioChessFan: <northern> I know it's easy to want to shut up the site troll, but So is an elite talent and you should try to avoid enjoying his losses on someone else's account. I know I sometimes fight the same feeling.

northernfox: <OCF> I do not <enjoy> a loss by So; in fact I think he is a great chess talent, and I wish him well.

The kibitz is just for Glenn, who has staked his life--wrongly-- on the idea that So is the chess Messiah, and not just another really talented human.

You and I are in agreement.

Apr-07-15  ajile: Irena Morosevich. Seriously why so glum? You are making MONEY playing a GAME.
Apr-07-15  1d410: Not impressive for either player when your Berlin is not dull..
Apr-07-15  wordfunph: congrats Rob!
Apr-07-15  Kaulayao: There are obvious So haters here, like this guy wordfunph, sa hilatsa pa lang ng kamao, mukhang komunista ang taong ito, if not a professional heckler.
Apr-07-15  Tiggler: At the start of this game Wesley's rating was close to the same as Karpov and Fischer's highest ever. Can anyone imagine either of them playing such blunders?

Actually, it's not hard to find examples!

chancho: From about move 27, Robson basically played at blitz mode to reach move 40.

Remarkable.

Still, Wesley is the better player, and it appears to me, that personal issues are affecting his performance.

Apr-07-15  morfishine: <chancho> I don't know about "personal issues" affecting So's performance...he just didn't play very well
Apr-07-15  Tiggler: Not playing very well is a personal issue for someone like Wesley So.
Apr-07-15  ChecksALot: What's happening to So? World top ten and loses to Sevian and Robson
Apr-07-15  Tiggler: So has played poorly in at least 3 games out of 6 so far, even though he won one of them:

S Shankland vs W So, 2015

That's why they play the games :)

Apr-07-15  parmetd: On 31... instead of Qe7 32. Bxb8 Rxb8.

More fun is 31... Rxb7! 32. Qxb7 Bd5 33. Qc7 Bxg2! 34. Rd3 Be4 35. Rg3 d3 36. Qxe5 Bg6 37. Be3 Qxb4 (34. Qxe5 Qg4 35. Re1 Ba8+) (34. Kxg2?? Qg4+ 35. K*1 Qxd1+ 36. Kg2 Qg4+ 37. K*1 Rc8 resigns.)

Apr-08-15  Pulo y Gata: We was robbed.
Apr-08-15  FISCHERboy: Robson and Wesley had lots of "sparring" sessions together (being friends and roommates). They are very familiar with each other's style of play. So it's not really surprising to see Wesley getting beaten by Robson.
Apr-08-15  Nina Myers: #61, and counting ...
