Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-06-13  Karpova: The 1915 'Wiener Schachzeitung' reports on page 20 that Szekely as an ensign in West Galicia was severly wounded (bullet in left and right leg). He had to remain for hours in the frost before he was found and brought to the Franz-Josefs Spital in Bielitz. At the end of January, he was in the Rudolfiner Haus in Vienna. One foot had to be amputated below the knee while the other one could not be moved.
