Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-14-06  Karpova: 19 year old Artem Iljin with an impressive performance of 2715 at the European Club Cup 2006.
Oct-14-06  Open Defence: <Karpova> yes I saw one of his games today.. I was wondering if he was a young kid as his title was *ahem* "only" and IM as opposed to all those GMs and Super GMs but he is more than holding his own there.. maybe some one to watch out for ?
Oct-15-06  Karpova: He is still young but maybe not young enough.
Oct-15-06  Open Defence: yeah the guys like Carlsen and Radjabov have achieved much more.. but maybe his age can lend a bit more maturity to his development as a chess player ? :)
Apr-15-07  BIDMONFA: Artem Iljin

ILJIN, Artem

Jan-04-15  waustad: He has fairly long periods between playing tournaments, so he probably has a "real" job instead of trying to eke out a living as a full time player.
