IVAN NEMET (born Apr-14-1943, died Dec-16-2007) Yugoslavia (citizen of Switzerland) [what is this?] Ivan Nemet was born in Sombor, Yugoslavia. Awarded the IM title in 1976 and the GM title in 1978, he was Yugoslav champion in 1979. He was 2nd= at Malmo in 1979. He had come to Switzerland in the early 80's and was playing for the Swiss National Team for many years. In 1990 he won the Swiss Championship. Later in his career he was very active promoting chess to young players. Ivan Nemet died of a heart attack in 2007. Wikipedia article: Ivan Nemet
