Domdaniel: He won a 5th Irish championship in 2013.
May-25-14  RedShield: Highly regrettable. We must work to ensure he doesn't win another.

perfidious: <Dom> Played Daly once, in 1988.

Fairly interesting game, if he gave less attention to it than he might; for he was preoccupied playing blitz between moves with one of the strong habitués of Harvard Square.

If <zanzibar> has any back numbers of Chess Horizons to hand from early 1989, he will quickly find this game in one of them (a Saemisch KID), as it was annotated.

Domdaniel: <perf> In the early 80s, I played a season as top board on a team in the main Dublin league. I was very heavily out-rated: I was about 1990, and most of my opponents were about 2300. I scored a horrible 1.5/10, and actually gained a few rating points (my predicted score was 1.4). In several of these games, I got good or at least equal positions, then was gradually ground down in the ending: this was the result against good players such as John Delaney, Tim Harding, Colm Barry and David Dunne. In just one game I was blown away in less than 25 moves. I even had White. The opponent was Daly, he played a Gruenfeld, and demolished me.

Somebody's bolloxed up.

SwitchingQuylthulg: Hopefully not me when I updated the bio yesterday. Until then it only listed the first four titles.

Domdaniel: <Ohio> - <Somebody's bolloxed up.> Nah, somebody *miscounted*. Bolloxing up is more serious.
