Feb-18-06  Karpova: This guy looks quite scary

Feb-18-06  Appaz: Agree! I would not like to meet that man, alone in a dark, half-open file :)

He did very well in Aeroflot Open A1: from his 89th ranking, he was placed 18th with 5.5 points and a TPR of 2698.

Jan-11-11  laskereshevsky: The CG Biography said:

<NIKOLA SEDLAK
(born Dec-13-1983) Yugoslavia (citizen of Serbia)

GM Sedlak won the 3rd European Union Individual Chess Championship in 2007.>......

Comgratulation to Him for the Victory in the tournament.

But technically, not being a Comunitary citizen, He's not the European Union Champion's....

By reading the Bio, this point is not very clear..... Isnt it?!

ketchuplover: Kudos on your board 4 gold medal in Tromso!
Aug-17-14  donjova: Congratulations to Nikola Sedlak for winning the Olympic gold on Board 4.

Chess Olympiad (2014)/Nikola Sedlak

Btw, he also narrowly missed winning the Board 4 medal in the Istanbul Olympiad (he was 4th in rankings for that board).

Dec-13-18  Nosnibor: How can this player have a grading of 2608 which is higher than his late fellow chess player, namely Gligoric who only reached 2600? With respect this player is not in the same class as Gligoric.

Breunor: Nosnibor, it is tremendous rating inflation. Be wary of comparing ratings of people from different eras, it works better in comparing to contemporaries.

So for example Petrosian's highest rating in the database is 2660 but he was a top three player in the world for quite a while.
