Oct-19-09  WhiteRook48: Benjamin's brother?!
Oct-19-09  whiteshark: Who's that?
Oct-19-09  Prugno: I remember staying in the same hotel as Ralf Lau in an Open about 15 years ago, where he finished near the top. A bit oversize in appearance, perhaps, but a worthy GM with an interesting and aggressive style.

By the way, he seems to have rather reduced his tournament participation in recent years. Probably he is no longer a professional player.

Oct-19-09  whiteshark: <Prugno: Probably he is no longer a professional player.> That's what the bio says: In the mid 1990ties he finished his pro career and moved to Austria.
Oct-19-09  Raisin Death Ray: Any relation to Ralf Malf? :)
Oct-19-09  midknightblue: <Any relation to Ralf Malf> I dont believe so but we could ask Potsy to be sure

Oct-19-17  newzild: The game R Lau vs H Teske, 1994 shouldn't be listed as "notable". It's a quick draw.

perfidious: <newzild>, the criteria for notability are, so far as I can tell, the following:

1) The player in question won or drew the game, and:

2) The number of game collections in which a game appears.

Lau-Teske is in two members' collections.
