<MissScarlett>
Nice catch, and even nicer fix.
You tracked down the properly documented (and typed out) source, and have supplied the correct score: [Source "Herald & News (Livermore, CA), 1970.12.21"] QUESTION: How did "Dublin" get in to the original source tag, I wonder... |
|
Jun-08-21
 | | Tabanus: Apparently a ghost Dublincate, proving a good point. |
|
Jun-08-21
 | | MissScarlett: The Herald covered the <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tri-V...>
but it seems to have been published in Livermore. The original source was supplied by <login>: http://www.chessdryad.com/articles/... |
|

 | | Tabanus: <After confirming that they were <ghost duplicates>, I was able to use the new "Get GID" feature to delete the games.> I have not tried this way yet, but suppose that was by merging the bad ghost game with the good game. (I do have merged tids with only 1 game (the same game) in each.) |
|
Jun-08-21
 | | Tabanus: Stupid question: If one submits a game identical to the ghost game it will be rejected but you will find the gid of the ghost game. But what if the ghost game has a different game score? The submitted game will be accepted and you still don't know the gid of the ghost game? |

stevemcd87 chessforum (kibitz #297)? |

Jun-14-21
 | | stevemcd87: Hello everyone,
There was an update and seems to have brought bugs with the editor page.
I will be working on them.
Feel free to report any bugs you find here. I'll get to them ASAP |
|
Jun-14-21
 | | Stonehenge: Take for example
Venice (1953) Only some Norcia games should missing.
<Canal> only shows six games but when you click on <games> you see Venice (1953)/Esteban Canal The Editor doesn't work.
I can't find any editors and I can't process my games. It says <Selected User: Stonehenge> and when I click on Show Submissions I don't see the games I've just uploaded (round 9 of GCT Bucharest Classic (2021)) Also I don't see the round eight games anymore, which I've uploaded yesterday. |

 | | stevemcd87: Thanks, <Stone>.
There are weird bugs going on, we'll get to them ASAP.
We recently hired someone to help us with these tasks as well |
|
Jun-14-21
 | | Tabanus: The European Championship (Women) (2016) has all 614 games. But when clicking on Edit standings, it's a mess. |

 | | juan31: < stevemcd87> Guess the move out of order |
|
Jun-15-21 | | login:
Here is an example you are able to play through several tasks in one checking the present functionality: Rename Karl Hoeing to Carl Hoeing (𝙃𝙤̈𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙜) Update ??.??.1850 - Jun 07 1923
Merge (kibitzing)/delete Hoeing
One unpleasant bug [various desktop browsers, German settings] is also noticable in this example: You might (not) have come across a different character encoding (UTF-8) between both the Bio and the Kibitzing. Unintentionally the 'update' broke (at least my) browsers' capability to correctly display https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diaer... throughout the site's Kibitzing portion (and members forums headers). This should be looked into soon, as a constant stream of new Kibitzing coming in might complicate matters beyond ?äÖöü?.

Unable to edit or process any new pgn uploads from the editor page. Eternal hanging on the "Editing User Uploads..." notification screen. I hope this will be sorted soon in the site upgrade. |

Unable to see the display chessboards for a FEN position on this page. Example on this post I cannot see a board or pieces in the FEN diagram: stevemcd87 chessforum (kibitz #403) |
|
Jun-16-21 | | WinKing: Hi <stevemcd87>. Having the same problem not being able to see the FEN positions on some pages: Wesley So (kibitz #222602) I know the positions were visible before the upgrades began. |

 | | Tabanus: Petrosian - Hübner Candidates Quarterfinal (1971), should I change to Huebner? |
|
Jun-17-21
 | | Stonehenge: Now I can process my games but they don't appear in the database. |
|
Jun-17-21
 | | Stonehenge: <Tab>
I've changed it to Huebner. Also changed Fran?ois-Andr? Philidor to Francois Philidor. |
|
Jun-17-21
 | | Tabanus: <Stonehenge> Thanks. Still, I'd prefer if if CG could allow some ... err, "umlauts". For example, I like to write Eero B??k, not Eero Book. |
|
Jun-17-21
 | | Tabanus: Saltsjöbaden Interzonal (1948), sigh there are dozens such now. |

 | | jessicafischerqueen:
<Stone> <Now I can process my games but they don't appear in the database.> I reported the same finding yesterday to <Stephen> via email, but he is too busy to reply. Likely he's right in the middle of fixing it eh. I had two games "processed" yesterday that also didn't go in the database, but for all we know they may be in the database but invisible. I'm not going to attempt any more processing games until <Stephen> gives me the go-ahead, or some feedback instructions. Sometimes invisible "processed games" will be read as duplicates if we try to process the game again. |

 | | Chessical: After the second downtime.
Using Chrome on Android, some diagrams are not appearing (yet others on the same page do) and diacritical marks are not rendering correctly - see Huebner and Philidor psges. |
