stevemcd87: <Chess.com> seems to have an API that may work for us( https://www.chess.com/news/view/pub... ). It'll take some time to implement but can be extremely useful for future events if it works. I'll keep you posted.

  stevemcd87: Hello everyone,

Sorry for all the issues this migrations has brought.
We are getting to them one by one.
As you've noticed, there are a lot.
The editor page should be working as it was before the migration.
Please double check everything for now, there still may be uncommon bugs that haven't identified themselves yet.

<Saltsjöbaden Interzonal (1948), sigh there are dozens such now.> <Tab> I'll get to this issue as soon as possible.
You can leave as is for now and they will be back to normal... eventually.

<GTM> and analyzer are top priorities at the moment.

<Using Chrome on Android, some diagrams are not appearing (yet others on the same page do) and diacritical marks are not rendering correctly - see Huebner and Philidor psges.>
<Chessical> can you please provide a link?
I am not familiar with those pages.

stevemcd87: I just played the "Guess-the-Move" and it seems to be working fine.
Can someone please confirm?
I am not too familiar with it.
It may have been fixed with me earlier updates.(fingers crossed)

  Tabanus: <Steve> I'll be patient.

On the Saltsjöbaden Interzonal (1948) and all other events, the worst is that they are not editable any more. Just click on Edit standings and you'll see. So no more EuChW editing, or any other event editing, for now.

stevemcd87: <Tab>, I'll see if I can find a quick fix for this
Saltsjöbaden Interzonal (1948)
I found a temp solution to the error with latin characters in the tournament page.
I'll try to fix it for all kibizing soon, I'll need to eventually find a better solution for it in the future.

<the worst is that they are not editable any more. Just click on Edit standings and you'll see. So no more EuChW editing, or any other event editing, for now.>
I'll take a quick look into this now, see what I can do.
Sorry for the headaches.

stevemcd87: <juan> Thanks for letting me know.

<Tab> I'm able to click the "Edit Standings" link and it shows the chart.
Is it showing wrong data?
Is the error when you click "Update Standings"?

Tabanus: Good morning <Steve>. Yes there's no error message when clicking on "edit standings". <Is it showing wrong data?> Yes. All the players have 19 games but it says 12 games, 14 games, etc., the counting is wrong. The system with the yellow marks is not working either, so it's not possible to edit tournaments. The table on Saltsjöbaden Interzonal (1948) only shows correctly because it was edited from before,

Another example: the table of Bled-Zagreb-Belgrade Candidates (1959) has not been edited. It therefore shows the winner Tal as next last in the standings, since the counting is wrong.

Stonehenge: In the Administrative Game Editor the date of newly uploaded games keeps saying <0000 ? ?>.

I have seen that problem before and it's rather annoying.

<Stonehenge>

I noticed the same thing shortly after Stephen originally created the Admin Processing page, but apparently the Admin. Game Editor will show the correct year date 2-3 hours after you upload the game.

Maybe check back on the games you just uploaded to see if the year date now matches the date you originally entered?

<Chessical>

You posted Robert Huebner and Francois Philidor to illustrate that posts in the kibbutzing sections that used the foreign language stets are now incomprehensible right?

Examples from your post:

Robert Hübner

Bravissima, <SBC> - a passage that describes a blind Philidor's simul, whith the same metric form (decameters in couplets) of the morceau i transcribed from 'Bilguer'! So the Author, the priest Roman - more precisely Jean-Joseph-Thérèse Roman (H.Balló completes: "de Couvret"): <Roman de Couvret, L'Abbé J. Joseph Thérese: Les Échecs, Poeme en quatre Chants, par Feu L'Abbé Roman, Précédé de Recherches Historiques sur les Echecs, et suivi de Notes. Léopold Collin, Paris 1807.>

stevemcd87: <Juan> We are aware of that bug, we are looking into the solution.
We need to refresh the page when that happens while we figure it out.
It happens to me too... not as often, recently, but still annoying.
Sorry about that.

<Chessical> We are aware of that issue also.
We found the source of the problem when debugging Saltsjöbaden Interzonal (1948)
You'll notice, if you look at the name on the page, it is now showing correctly.
We will need to figure out the best way to make the update across the site.
We will get to it as soon as possible.

<Jess> We, somewhat, fixed the issue with the fen image creator you've mentioned.
stevemcd87 chessforum
They newly created fen images are black and white for now.
If you happen to get one in color, it means it was created prior to the migration.
If we see one that still isn't showing in the forums, we can:
- Click the <click for larger view>
- Copy & paste the fen in the kibitz form
- Click <Kibitz!>
- <We don't have to post, getting to the "preview page" is enough>

Top priority is getting the <Game Analyzer> .
The fen image creator was one of the obstacles we needed to fix for the analyzer to get up and running .

Sorry for the delay.

Stonehenge: <You'll notice, if you look at the name on the page, it is now showing correctly.>

It was still a mess but I have taken care of the diacritics. Actually I strongly prefer not to use diacritics for reasons that should be obvious by now.

  Tabanus: Saltsjobaden Interzonal (1948)

Hübner - Adorjan Candidates Quarterfinal (1980) and some more, I can make an effort. The standings editor, however ... is caput.

<Tab>

I just went in to the standings editor and corrected Huebner's score by adding a win in his column. So that part of the standings editor is working now at least.

According to Stephen, on the titles in hyperlinks we just have to wait for him to figure out the best method for him to fix all errors in one update?

stevemcd87: <Juan> (or anyone else) Have you still been seeing the "Internal Server Error"?
We've recently installed a new module that might've help.
If you are still seeing it, our AWS technician will begin troubleshooting the issue.
I haven't been seeing it

stevemcd87: If anyone does see it, please let us know the time of the incident(including time zone) and which page you were trying to access.
Thanks for the help

chancho: I saw it a few times today, but it seems your measures are working. Don't recall the precise time, probably around 4 or 5 pm ET.

  stevemcd87: Thanks <chancho>.
If you see it again, an accurate time and the page you were trying to visit would help us figure out the root of the issue.
There are times we are updating the server that we might see that error also, so It's important to try to distinguish them

<Now, let?s check if the question mark problem has been fixed up.

The first prize was 20 guineas, presented by Mr Robert Smith, the second ?10 10s, the third ?5 5s and the fourth ?3 3s.

Final score 8?/9 (+8/=1/-0)

Nope, not yet.>

Tabanus: <jess> It still says Huebner has 9 games while in fact he has 10. His "+2" is marked in yellow, meaning it does not mach the count.

For editing tournaments (CG's least concern), this is hopeless.

<Tab> Good eye.

Why can't we edit the game number box? Possibly Stephen could change the code so that we could alter the information in that box?
