It's not working on my MacBook Air using Yosemite, or on my Kindle.

Try this link -> Nakamura vs Grischuk, 2022
Do you receive some sort of error?
I'll be happy to dig deeper into this, I'm sure you're not the only one.

stevemcd87: Yes, I see that issue when using the "pgn4web" viewer.
It seems it's having problems with the new pgn we're using.
I suggest switching to the "Olga" viewer for now, I'll be able to fix it after the live event.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Mahlzeit,

CG is flooded with (cautiously estimated) hundreds of bot accounts for months without anyone bothering. All fine who cares, but there comes a point where all top dog seach engines crawling CG will 'notice' a rising amount of bogus links that will lead to a well deserved de-ranking (from chess to spam site). Targeting unspecific queries for our game (the ones you catch new visitors with), that don't include the string 'chessgames'.

Caution: AI driven algorithms compensate for this (pretty old) correlation and you never see negative impact in search generated traffic.

Consider to include a captcha and/or locking 'Your chessgames.com Bio' input for at least 24h after registration - if bots adapt, take additional actions.

Yes, you can go fishing with updated blacklisting (naming syntax for registrations, profile syntax for URLs) but this isn't the most elegant approach. A while back CG announced a switch to AWS Identity and Access Management? Not a big fan makes things 'easy' but man you give up a lot of decision-making authority and hand all silverware to a most service-free zone (for a non top 100 global customer).

(Carefully) wiping affected bios is advised.

Members will soon find additional ways to 'enlarge' their egos, don't worry.

stevemcd87: <Stone> It should be fixed now.
My only guess is that the PGN was updated after the game was scanned into the Explorer.
Currently, we are only scanning new games into the explorer, so it will not fix older games that have been updated.
For now, just let me know when you spot a similar issue and I'll update it manually.
Thanks

<Stephen>

Now we are having difficulty uploading this odds game here: W C Miller vs Martin Mantin, 1855

I think it may be a FEN string processing error in the pgn, but we cannot figure out the problem so far after discussing in the Biographer's Bistro.

Might you please look in to this and help us out?

stevemcd87: <Stone> When it happens again, please provide the filename(s) for the process. It is located at the top of the returned output (E.G. /home/chessgames/submitted/stevemcd87.16453633752- 022.02.17). It'll help the debugging process. Sorry for the late response.

<MissScarlett: And yet when I urge the denizens of <cg> to <do better!>, I get attacked.>
<MissS> I'll be handling the Airthings Masters (2022) event. <Constructive> criticism is encouraged😬, please let me know what you think can be improved... Be gentle.

<Jess> Currently, I have to manually update the eco for odds games to display, so let me know when one has been uploaded. Eventually, you will have the ability to update common issues for "ghost games". Also, it seems games MUST begin with move "1" for Olga. I needed updated the first move in the PGN from "2" to "1".

Re Airthings Masters (2022) : The point system has changed for this event, I'd like to update the crosstable to show the correct points(E.G. Ding Liren 10/12). Is anyone opposed?
Also, It seems it would be better to separate the Prelims from the Knockout, for crosstable purposes, though it doesn't look as if we done that in the past. Should we?

No, definitely not! Would you split FIDE Grand Prix Berlin (2022) into <five> pages? We have to have one event/one page, also for cross-reference purposes. It's messy enough as it is. Better hope that someone will make xtabs one day.

Playoff after Swisses can be on a separate non-TI page, if that page is linked to on the main page. Pls listen to rock-carving Tab on this. Or make it possible to have 2+ tables on the same page.

Aimchess US Rapid (2021) is roughly the same thing, with a round-robin first and then a knockout. I've made dozens of these, such as Magnus Carlsen Invitational (2020), and never got any remark on what can be improved.

So come on folks. How could I have improved? How can Steve improve?
