It was an old correspondence game. I don't know why it was deleted.

Show me the money!

Sep-15-22  Messiah: I already posted this to the member support forum, but let's do it here, too:

<I have a serious problem: in the previous several days I always got a '403 Forbidden', visiting any of CG's pages. It turned out that both of the VPN provider I am using and the TOR network are blocked to reach this site. As I live in an oppressive regime, I am practically never doing online activity without VPN or TOR. Hence, I would like to ask you to lift either of these restrictions, or pick a VPN server of your choice (from the logs you can deduce which provider I am using), and I will use exclusively that one to come here. If you choose this option, please inform me by e-mail, and I will cooperate happily.>

Stonehenge: The maximum of game uploads seems to be a 100 at a time now. That used to be a 1000.

If i upload more than a hundred, I get the <403 forbidden> message.

I also get that message when trying to upload photos.

Chessical: Strange anomaly, despite having a Premium account, the Players page shows adverts when I use Firefox - Version 104.0.2 (64 bit).

I have sent an email with a screen capture.

This does not seem to occur in either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

<MissS>
If you give me the link to the game, we can use it one of these Mondays.
The puzzle took me longer than I'd like to admit but definitely suitable for a Monday.

C F Smith vs Duff, 1850

  stevemcd87: From Lichess ( https://lichess.org/practice/interm... ):
"The <Deflection> is a tactic that forces the opponent's piece away from defending another piece or an important square. The deflected piece is usually an overloaded piece that needs to protect more than one other piece or square."

  stevemcd87: <Engine/Analysis Cloud optimization upgrade:>

- Requests will be placed in a queue, eliminating the need to wait to make another request if the Engine server is at max capacity

- We will have a <priority queue> for user requests and a <standby queue> with 'preselected analysis requests' meant to keep our servers busy when there aren't any user requests. This will ensure we utilize the servers to their max potential. Recommendations on the selection of 'preselected analysis requests' are welcome.

- The upgrade will be able to process game analysis quicker, if the cpu resources are available, by processing the moves concurrently as opposed to consecutively.

- We will also utilize DynamoDB to store the Analysis data for both servers to access. Rather than attempting to keep 2 Databases, on different servers, in sync
