IGOR FOYGEL
(born Oct-29-1947) Ukraine (citizen of United States of America)

International master, correspondence and OTB player, and coach. He immigrated to US in 1991 and continued playing, winning many open tournaments throughout New England. Foygel became Champion of Massachusetts in '92, '97, '00, '01 and most recently in '05, and New England champion in '07.

  chancho: Igor Foygel winner of the Massachusetts open several times. He received his IM title late in his career. when he lived in The former Soviet Union, he helped as a chess coach. The man is a real gentleman, he also has a site out there for those interested in receiving chess lessons.

  Tabanus: Igor Foygel was born in Kiev in 1947. He represented the republic of Ukraine in national youth chess competitions. He became a master in 1974 and later became an International Master of Correspondence Chess. He immigrated to the United States in 1991. He won the championship of Massachusetts in 1992, 1997, 2000, and 2001. He is an International Master with a maximum 2483 Elo rating.
