| lopium: Just have to pick a name without any annotation yet, or a unfamous one; in the player's list. |

| Prugno: A player of the day I know something about :)
I've met him in a couple of tournament games and seen him in action pretty often, since he seems to enjoy playing in Italy.Unlike some of his countrymen, he's an extremely polite, modest and reserved fellow (post-game analysis with him is a pleasant and instructive experience). His style is also super-positional most of the time.
But this doesn't stop him from being extremely dangerous: narrow opening repertoire which he knows very well, excellent positional understanding, tactically alert when necessary, and especially a great endgame technique, at least as far as I can tell. Also a good rapid player who can play many consecutive strong moves even in time pressure. |

There are no official records on unbeaten streaks, but Wang's 82 games seems among the longest. Mikhail Tal, former world champion, went unbeaten over 93 games between October 1973 and October 1974. He also had a streak of 86 games from July 1972 to April 1973. Vladimir Kramnik of Russia, another former world champion, went undefeated over 82 games from January 1999 to July 2000. Milan Drasko, a grandmaster from Montenegro, also avoided defeat for 84 games from October 2006 to September 2007. http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/12... Milan Drasko had 84 unbeaten games streak how did chessbase and chessdom forget this |
