 | | alexmagnus: Never realized that Huschenbeth is "only" IM. That's funny, Germany has 75 GMs (only Russia has more) but the German champion is an IM. |

Mar-16-15 | | cro777: Niclas was clear winner (with 6,0/7 points) of the 6th Annual Golden State Open which was held in January in Dublin, California. Niclas "The Dark Knight" Huschenbeth is attending University of Maryland Baltimore County on a chess scholarship and will play on board 1 for the UMBC Chess team at the Final Four of College Chess 2015 (New York Athletic Club, March 27-29). Webster University is the number one ranked team going into the championship while UMBC is in the underdog fourth place slot (University of Texas at Dallas and Texas Tech round out the Final Four). But Huschenbeth isn’t worried about that. He says the four teams’ rankings are pretty close. http://www.chessdom.com/wp-content/... The UMBC Chess team:
GM Huschenbeth Niclas 2609
GM Ringoir Tanguy 2573
GM Kore Akshayraj 2567
IM Bregadze Levan 2579
Alt. 1 WGM Paikidze Nazi 2349
Head Coach: GM Semon Palatnik
Joel DeWyer, Business Manager
