  SwitchingQuylthulg: It's no longer necessary to use Search Kibitzing to get links that work for everybody; the datestamps ("Jan-03-15" etc.) are now permalinks to the relevant posts.

<chessgames.com: [...] As Annie suggested, on normal kibitzing pages like this one, the date is now a link. Not so much for clicking on, but if you right click on the date and choose "copy", you'll get a permalink to the post in question.> (chessgames.com chessforum)

Thank you, and you are right. That is an even better way to do it, especially since it is available to everyone, premium account or no.

  Annie K.: Correction:

<11. Best Historian <->>

<1 nomination, awaits second>

jessicafischerqueen, Karpova, Phony Benoni, suenteus po 147, SwitchingQuylthulg, Tabanus, zanzibar

I'm omitting the "WCC Editing Project" since the main account (jessicafischerqueen) has already been nominated <by the same person>.

Jan-03-15  Abdel Irada: As to which is <tpstar>'s most impressive candidate for <Best Post>, I'd have to call it a close contest between <OCF>'s recommendation and this one: Kenneth Rogoff.

Which do you think better expresses his true sentiments?

Jan-03-15
Premium Chessgames Member
  Annie K.: <Abdel> are you nominating this post, or just chatting about it? Please try to remember that this forum has a specific purpose, and given the many people who do a rather sloppy job with links and username spelling, keeping the nomination count straight is difficult enough without intentionally irrelevant and/or disingenuous "entries". Also see:

<♕ OTHER RULES ♕

<Note that there is a change to this year's nomination procedure: for simplicity, the distinction between "nominations" and "seconding" has been eliminated. >

  Annie K.: Every nominee still needs two nominations to pass to the voting stage, so every nominee who only has 1 nomination so far still needs a second nomination to pass to the voting stage, and pointing these out to the voters should help them get the attention they need. This is the point of the phrasing, which most people seem to find clear enough.

  Annie K.: Looks like updating the tally can wait for some more posts to come in...

<Abdel> heh! Seeing as, if elected, nobody expects, let alone requires, you to "serve", or do anything at all for that matter, there doesn't seem to be a problem. :D

Also, I don't know if technically a nominee may refuse to be nominated. :)

I should think not. :-)

But as I'm sure you can understand, I want to put as much distance as possible between me and any "nominations" from a certain source.

On the other hand, I will recommend that source's user profile as informative reading for anyone who wants a glimpse of what dark forces roil the depths of his mind.

Jan-04-15  Golden Executive: I nominate the following in these categories:

Funniest Poster <technical draw>

Most Constructive <cro777> and <jepflast>
