WannaBe: <cu8sfan> Thanks for running it!! Even though my picks were down-right horrible!!
Mar-11-06  Chess Classics: Phew! What a terrible tournament for predictors! Especially with such an awful Morelia performance by Topalov followed by such an awesoe Linares performance! I shall wear my 45%, 19/20 after 5 rounds proudly!

<cu8sfan> Thank you for taking the time to run this-my first prediction contest, but lots of fun!

Regards,
CC

offramp: Well done Yoozum! To get nearly 60% is amazing in a tournament where there were a lot of upsets.
Mar-12-06  yoozum: Thanks, you guys! But you guys didn't do too shabbily yourselves, especially you, <iron maiden>. As long as you have the Inner Eye, you'll do well in prediction contests ;-)
Mar-12-06  suenteus po 147: <cu8sfan> Thanks again for running the prediction contest. It's excruciating fun (with emphasis on excruciating for people like me who placed near the bottom)!

It's kind of sad to know I did as well as <RANDOM> the guy who picks results out of a hat and submits them. Something tells me if I had done that instead I would have scored better.

Congratulations also to <yoozum> for winning, and to <iron maiden> for second place and defeating the ever-difficult <DRAWER>.

Mar-12-06  you vs yourself: <cu8sfan> Thanks for running the contest.

According to <yoozum>, Black is not OK. (-;

Some data about all participants:
4 players reached a score of 4 twice: <Montreal1666>, <dimradil>, <iron maiden> and <lostemperor>. <yoozum> only did it once but managed to score 3 points in 6 rounds. <Jafar219> was very unfortunate and scored 0 in 4 rounds.

---

Here's our combined round-by-round performance, sorted descendingly by percentage:

Round | Overall round score | Participants | Round performance | Percentage

09 | 107 | 42 | 2.548 | 0.637
03 | 129 | 52 | 2.481 | 0.620

08 | 61 | 44 | 1.386 | 0.347
06 | 60 | 47 | 1.277 | 0.319
02 | 63 | 50 | 1.260 | 0.315
04 | 63 | 50 | 1.260 | 0.315
01 | 59 | 49 | 1.204 | 0.301

AL | 1123 | 644 | 1.744 | 0.436

Notice how the upper half only has one round (the all-draws third round) from the Moralia half of the tournament.

---
Let's compare the last output with our last tournament, Wijk aan Zee:

Tournament | Percentage of points scored

Wijk aan Zee | 0.498
Linares | 0.436
Linares, 1st half | 0.389
Linares, 2nd half | 0.489

Mar-13-06  yoozum: <cu8sfan>, what was the third tournament, besides Corus and Linares? I remember there was a period of time when I didn't participate this year, but cannot seem to remember during which tournament it was. Thanks.
Mar-13-06  yoozum: Oh, was it Cuernavaca? I just looked at the homepage.
