"Play the board AND the man ! ".
But mostly the board.
Was born in Elsinore,Denmark,1953.And I am still proud of it.As I hope everyone is proud of hers/his startingpoint.

In many aspects life and chess do mirror each other IM experience. As science and belief goes hand in hand.So many "rules of thumbs" and many "exceptions" from the rule. I do agree with Bent Larsen who once said that someone who cannot contain a paradoxe is not using the full capacity of his brain.Actually I am convinced that there are no parodoxes, but perspectives which are more bright or flexible than others...

Though some obviously are borned under more easygoing circumstances than others,I will second our esteemed fellowkibitzer <zarg> who underlines that "luck" is also somehing that we create ourselves. Ourselves, but also together IM experience.
I try to live my life as if Jesus or Buddha knocked on the door , I would wellcome them as friends . And if they didn´t show up, it would be fine anyway.

moronovich: <virginmind: Wow, only now I read in the bookie forum - a 100$ gift certificate to be used at chessgames shop! Thank you again my friend! Most appreciated and I hope I'll be able to return the kindness to you someday.>

Hey I am just glad if you can use it and curiuos what you will buy !? And you have already returned the kindness through all our living exchanges over the years.

Today I am less dizzy and enjoying that Hannah is at home and may be in one hour we shall go to have a classic coffee and cake at the seaside.Life is good today !

p.s.:Perhaps a virginmind is the meaning of life.Being borned with a virginmind, making as many experienses as we can and then return to a virginmind all the experiences included ….

Og rigtig sjovt at høre om jeres familiekomsammen !

Apr-21-19  virginmind: Thank you for the kind words and gesture, <moronovich>. Normally I'd buy chessgames.com premium membership (if it's possible to use it that way), or I don't know...Come to think of it, why don't I share half with other chessgames member (or ask chessgames to do it directly). I don't have a preference, so I leave the choice to you (or chessgames).

Cheers!

Apr-21-19  morfishine: Hello <moronovich> Here is a fine win by the Dutch player Nelson Hald vs the tough Francis Newton Stacy

Thanks <virginmind> !

I would prefer that you kept it all,so it could be felt.Otherwise it could be perhaps too hairy. And if you accept these conditions you could leave a message to <Annie K>.

  moronovich: Hi <morfishine> !

Nice "little" game !

With a very logical conclusion.

And Nelson vs Newton should promise drama :)

Apr-21-19  virginmind: <moronovich> Understood, and you are definitely gentile. I will spend it all for myself and I'll message <Annie K>.

Hugs and an excellent week ahead.

moronovich: Same to you <virginmind> !

And see you down or up the road.

Plus an excellent weekend to you as well.Tomorrrow we shall enjoy the last day of wifes Easter holiday and also prepare for my sisters arrival from America on friday !

Apr-21-19  virginmind: Oh, great, so Happy Easter for the second day for you and Hannah tomorrow!

And please send my regards to your sister as well. I wish her trip to Denmark will be excellent and I'm sure your company and Hannah's will help being so.

Au revoir.

Apr-22-19  morfishine: Good morning Dear <moronovich>! Are you going to sit out the Spring Leg of the Bookie game? Are you giving us mere mortals a chance to earn spots in next year's Championship?
Apr-22-19

  moronovich: Morning dear <morfishine> !

No,I will play the game, but right now I feel a kind of silent, nice reaction to the tough effort in the final. And simultaniously I have also had some hits at the real bookies. And I recognize the reaction from my days at the races:When I had a good hit in one of the first races I put the major part in my nottouchpocket and enjoyed playing with the rest as a kind of free try !

But in the overall picture I will root for you and the <Count> !

ps.:It must be early at your place.Around 6 o´clock ?

Apr-26-19  virginmind: Hi <moronovich>! On second thought, I'd choose Fritz 16 (downloadable version) and for the remaining bucks the premium subscription. I haven't received the certificate as yet - I assume Annie will send it in my email box.

So today your sister arrives after a long journey. Maybe a bit of jet lag will follow, but she will be OK in a few days. How long have she been in the US?

Will follow a bit Grenke in the afternoon, but I also have to prepare a paper for a conference in the next days. For the second day of Easter we plan to go to Onesti and then maybe to Slanic or some other place around.

So long.

  moronovich: Hi <virginmind> !

Sister is here right now.And it is a delight to be together after 4 years (No jetlag-she landed in about one week from now).Especially to see Hannah and her talk, talk, talk about everything.

Soon we shall go to the seaside !

Fritz sounds like a fine choice and you may have a "chess friend" for a longer time ahead.

I hope you both will have a good time at Onesti. And a happy Easter time as well !

All the best wishes-til next time.

p.s. my sister has lived in America for more than 30 years !... ):/(:

Apr-28-19  virginmind: Hi <moronovich>, Annie K sent me the coupon number yesterday so I downloaded Fritz 16. I should also receive a link to get an e-DVD on the Scotch opening. I am grateful to you for making this possible. I'm especially glad for Fritz, as my older (11) version was not supported anymore by Chessbase.

It's great that you're having such a good time in the company of your sister. And thank you for the Easter wishes, in a few hours the whole family will have dinner at my sister apartment. Tomorrow morning we will leave for Pancesti (countryside) and Onesti.

Yet another victory for Magnus at Grenke, getting his rating closer to his best ever. And Giri has won the Shenzen tournament. I wonder what's next in May on the supertournament schedule.

Hugs to you and Hannah.

moronovich: Good evening dear <virginmind> !

Hope you have had a good time in Pancesti and Onesti and are well back at your home.

I am also so glad you can have so much benefit from Fritz (and the scotch as well). And btw I haven´t had a computerprogram as a working tool,so I dont know how it works !?…

Carlsen seems to play on another level than his competitors,so it gonna be interesting to follow him in his next tournament which is soon going to start. In Africa!

Sad to say goodbye to sister, but good she had almost 3 days with us.And to realize how Hannah and her bond like they have known each other for the whole life.is something wonderful. She is all the family I have got left.On many levels we were very close when we grew up.

Monday another great day with JWH and otherwise Hannah and me are enjoying each other.

Tomorrow some partisans will start working outside our house(s) for around 5 months and I shiver in my pants and hope they dont play to much music. With my dizziness and the like I simply need to rest/snooze occasionally.

Fingers and everything ells crossed.

Wish you all the best,to good health and for the future. And send hugs from Hannah too!

Arrividerci.

moronovich: p.s.: your compatriot Nisipeanu is playing i Sweden these days.8 players/7 rounds) in a tournament called Siggeman.(Town called Malmö)
May-05-19  virginmind: Hello my dear, I really hope you will not have to endure from those guys any loud music or anything disturbing (and indeed fingers crossed). But I am worried a bit about your repeated episodes of dizziness - I didn't seem to experience them since quite some time. Maybe you should renew a visit to your neurologist? If I'm not wrong, you still don't know the exact cause of those dizziness moments.

Well, one can use Fritz in multiple ways, either as a chess sparring partner (which of course always kills you in the end), either as a learning tool, for all phases of the game, and some other possibilities. I also use it to access chessbase platform and play there - it offers additional options, like memorizing your games and replaying them, of course with evaluation at hand. And many other helpful tools.

It's great your sister got together so well with Hannah and I'm sure she had a very fine time during her visit. Maybe next year it will be time for you and Hannah to return the visit to her place?

Did you have a (very) cold period of time lately? I saw on the news that, starting tomorrow, a cold/rainy wave will appear here, coming from north-western Europe. Fortunately it will likely go away after 1-2 days.

Yes, Nisi is playing in Sigeman and today he had his third draw. But more interesting indeed is the start of that rapid&blitz tourney in Abidjan, featuring Carlsen along very strong opposition. Congrats to him for finishing Grenke with a superb score and getting so close to his best ever rating...

Hugs returned to Hannah and to you. Have an excellent week ahead, bye.

May-14-19  virginmind: Hello <moronovich>, I hope you are fine, please give me a sign here that everything's all right.

All the best!
