  MissScarlett: <Down> is another command that is unrecognised by the Player Search function. Nicholas A Down and Henry F Down may be down but should not be out.
Feb-06-24  stone free or die: Why <SourceNote> in particular?

Why not a <Notes>, or <Notes_1>, <Notes_2>, ... scheme?

Do we have any examples where it isn't always 1?

We've updated it to recognize So, From, and Down.

  MissScarlett: Problem editing games with standard brackets <( )> in the Event tag. E.g. Bird vs J Wisker, 1873

Won't allow an edit update, so I had to remove them, changing from <Match (2)> to <Match 2>. But brackets in other tags seem to be fine.

  MissScarlett: For some strange reason, the 6th round game, [bad chessgames.com link] from Freestyle Chess GOAT Prel (2024) shows up as a game for Ding, but not for Aronian - look the numbers of games for each. I noticed in the upload process that something was amiss.
Feb-10-24  stone free or die: <CG> - when games all are played on the same day could we do a secondary sort on round number?

Actually, for player games from a given tournament, I think sorting by round number would be my preference.

(Inspired by trying to look at <Missy>'s bad game)

  Tabanus: Thanks! Cf. Havana Candidates Reserve Playoff (1987)

I made a Game Collection: Havana 1987 with xtab but have no other info, not even dates. I guess TI can wait.

  Stonehenge: The links you have been entering lately do not work. See e.g. Iulija Osmak

Also there is a FIDE player card below the < Search Sacrifice Explorer > and < Search Google >. These should be entered in the <ADMINISTRATIVE PLAYER EDITOR>.

Mar-05-24  stone free or die: RE: <Osmak>

Firstly - I'd suggest following FIDE for transliteration of her name:

<Osmak, Yuliia>

Of course <CG> might never use the saner collation order - in which case:

<Yuliia Osmak> is begrudgingly suggested instead.

* * * * *

Also - I think <Stonehenge> is complaining about the <<font><I>> extraneous additions to the url's in the bio's footnote links.

Might someone's parser be slightly "off"?
