Penguincw: Pretend the date on this post is March-18-2015:

Anyway, congrats to Lopez for upsetting Elina Danielian in the first round. After she drew the first game with black, Lopez won with white in the next game to send the Armenian home. Being the 52nd seed and rated 2322, she is the lowest rated player in the 2nd round. In Round 2, she will face the second lowest rated player, 45th seed Meri Arabidze.

Pretend this post was on March-21-2015:

And Lopez's run in the tournament comes to the end, after she loses to Arabidze 1 1/2-1/2.

Still, a great run, and don't forget about rating points. I esitmate she gained 12 rating points to rise to 2334.
