Penguincw: Pretend the date on this post is June 3rd:

Congrats to 16th seed GM Duc Hoa Nguyen (2487) for remaining the lowest seed to still be perfect through 3 rounds of the Mumbai Open. The first 3 rounds have been easy (no titled players or anyone above 2220), but in R4, he'll face 7th seed GM Martyn Kravtsiv (2589) with white.

Penguincw: And congrats to Nguyen for his overall performance. He drew that 4th round game, but then beat 2nd seed Levan Pantsulaia (2616) with black and drew 1st seed Dmitry Kokarev (2639) before losing to an IM. He then rebounded with 2 wins, included one over 8th seed Pavel Smirnov (2588), and ended with a black draw over 3rd seed Alexander Zubov (2612).

Unbelievable, facing the top 3 seeds, along with the 7th and 8th seeds. Overall, that's 7.5/10 (+6,-1,=3) against 2433 opposition (but also 4.5/6 against 2574) for the 2487 rated GM. For this, he gains 20.6 points to rejoin the 2500 club.
