Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-08-04  matein8: This GM has a very up-to-date chess calendar of events on his website: http://www.chess-calendar.nl/
Oct-15-04  Jesuitic Calvinist: I like Jonk's clear, classical approach. Look at those most popular openings - nothing strange or suspicious there. He is perhaps another I would put on the list of "average" GMs who can serve as good models for lower-ranked players.
Feb-09-05  fasting: his actual rating is 2399, which must be considered low for a GM?! But he is pretty active, he was in Corus Tournament Group C, and now the Aeroflot Open!
Dec-29-05  EmperorAtahualpa: GM Harmen Jonkman runs his own website at http://www.jonkman.demon.nl/.
Mar-31-06  scrambler: EmperorAtahualpa & matein8 Thanks for those links.

May-30-08  Lutwidge: Jonkman's openings are pretty much the same ones I play, which is probably why his rating's a little low for a GM. :)

Really, Jonkman, along with with his (to me) kindred spirit Hector, are two of my favorite masters, stylistically speaking.
